Can you print Asian characters on this label? I often ship to countries with non-Latin alphabet.

For sure! What prints on labels (which are just another style/layout of paper) is determined by their printers and computers, not by the label (paper).

how does this differ from the 5162 template?

I've used 2 different # labels that are very similar and have confused them in the past. The one I have in front of me is #8162. The labels are 1 1/3" X 4" and there are 350 labels in the pkg, & 25 sheets. There are 14 labels per sheet. I don't know which label you have pictured it's too blurry for my old eyes. Be sure you order the correct one...laser or inkjet. I ordered 2 packs of the wrong one once.
