Vittles Vault Airtight Pet Food Storage Container + Scoop, Up to 30lbs

I have 3 of these (2 of them for almost 8 years now) they have been everywhere from the porch to the inside of the house to the garage. I have never found ants or bugs of any kind in them. The lid is a little tight for the first week or so but after that they are easy to open and close as long as you make sure to align the threads before tightening. I turn spin the open lid anti-clockwise until they engage properly before tightening. They have survived 3 moves, no issues and still don’t have a need to replace them. They are not the cheapest option but I feel they are worth the money as I have not had to replace anything on them and do not foresee any reason to.

These containers are fantastic for storing large amounts of dog food. The airtight screw-on lid seals really well, keeps the food fresh, and helps keep moisture and pests out. The wide opening makes it easy to scoop food without making a mess, and the 80-pound capacity is perfect when you have multiple or large dogs. I’ve bought three of them, which probably says it all. Sturdy, practical, and absolutely worth it.

This is actually my second purchase of this storage bin, and I can thank my mom for putting me onto them! She purchased three of her own a few years ago and recommended them to me, so I decided to try one for myself. The plastic is SUPER thick and sturdy, and these things hold up forever. I’ve had my first one for probably 6 years now and it still looks and works great with no issues whatsoever! It keeps the dog and cat food stored neatly and securely, and I love how durable it is. Definitely a great storage option if you want something that’s going to last!

This storage container is exactly what I needed to manage large bags of pet food. The airtight silicone seal around the lid is fantastic—it locks in the freshness completely, and I no longer have to worry about ants or pests getting in. The latches are secure but still easy to pop open when it's feeding time. It has a great, space-saving design that fits perfectly in my pantry, and the heavy-duty plastic feels like it will last for years. Highly recommend for any pet parent!

I bought this because ants were getting into the last dog food container but they still manage to get into this one somehow. Sometimes the lid has trouble screwing on. Durability and size are nice. I can fit two 22.5lb bags of large kibble inside with some extra room. Seems to keep kibble fresh, but it's hard to know for sure because I'm not the one eating it lol.

These containers work great for storing my horse feed! They’re a perfect size, keep everything neat and protected, and best of all, they fit perfectly inside my deck box. I’m able to keep my different feeds organized without taking up a ton of room. Very happy with them and would definitely recommend them for feed storage!

Unfortunately, my immediate experiences with this storage container were not great. First, this thing reeks of plastic right out of the box. Off-gassing is expected I guess with new plastic containers, but at this price I expected it to at least be washed and aired out before shipping. As is, anything you store in it right away is going to pick up that smell. Second, and more importantly: it's not airtight. I filled it about halfway with soapy water to clean it and test the seal, screwed the lid on tight, and tipped it on its side. Water poured out around the collar (not the lid) immediately. Not a slow drip, a steady stream. A seal that fails that badly isn't one I'd trust to keep food fresh. It might be fine for tossing something in for a week or two, but "airtight" was the whole selling point here for me, and this doesn't deliver on it. Update: Feedback from the Manufacturer is that this product is NOT air-tight, water-tight, and thus not pest-tight. Despite it being advertised as such and that it's a double-gasket system, ONLY the LID and not the collar is sealed. From the manufacturer when I mentioned water leaking from around the collar: "What you're describing is expected behavior and does not necessarily indicate a defect with the container. The Vittles Vault's airtight seal is created by the gasket located in the screw-on lid. The collar that attaches to the container body is not designed to form a watertight seal when liquid is placed inside the container and the unit is tipped or laid on its side. Because of this, water may leak around the collar area during rinsing or similar testing, even when the lid is properly secured. The Vittles Vault is intended for the storage of dry pet food and is designed to help keep food fresh by limiting air exposure through the lid seal. It is not designed or tested to function as a watertight container for liquids." Having experience with other Gamma-seal lids on simple buckets, both the lid to collar and the collar to container should be sealed. What's the use of sealing one without the other??

Love these to hold cat/dog food and not have to worry about things getting into them. They keep food fresher and longer, easy to use, and the quality is great. I don't stack them but if you choose too that is an option. Bird seed is another thing I use these for and works great as well. Will be buying more if I need too. I've also seen many use them to hold baking products but I have yet to try that.

Large capacity and easy to open and close. Can fit a 15kg bag of kibble through the opening with a little bit of shimmying. Love this storage container!
