I was given the opportunity to try this Milk Thistle. It's funny because I was wanting to try Milk Thistle again since I'm low in energy, having hive problems, prediabetic issues, sleepiness etc. and this opportunity to try it fell into my lap. First, it's made of nonallergic ingredients. If you have ever used the Nature's Way brands, you know it's made for most everyone with sensitivities. I was hesitant to try this brand at first, but then reading the bottle I could see it might be a good product. I had no negative reactions like I sometimes get from other products with nasty fillers. It's made of top quality products with a high 80% Silymarin rating. Silymarin is important because it acts as an antioxidant by reducing free radical production. Scientists think this creates a detoxifying effect, which is why it is milk thistle may be beneficial for liver problems. I'm trying to cleanse my gut, as I suspect it's preventing me from losing weight, causing tiredness, lack of energy, causing prediabetes and hive issues. Artichoke is an ingredient used in this supplement. It stimulates the flow of bile from the liver and is thought to help reduce symptoms of heartburn and alcohol "hangover." With prediabetic issues, you can get heartburn issues. It's great for calming the gut. Another ingredient in this product is Beet Root Its high fiber content helps to prevent constipation and promote regularity for a healthy digestive tract. I was getting more constipated lately and this product seems to be helping me be more regular with my bowels. Another added ingredient is choline. It plays many essential roles in the body. Notably, it is needed for the synthesis of acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter, as well as lecithin, which helps maintain cell membranes, transmit nerve impulses, process fat, and cholesterol, and perform other tasks. I will have a cholesterol test at the end of the month to see how well this product works. My cholesterol was about 320! It shot up from what I suspect is gut inflammation. In addition, this supplement contains Chicory, a good source of fiber, which may help improve several aspects of digestive health. Chicory contains inulin fiber, a type of prebiotic that promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut. I was really excited when I read that this product had Chanca Piedra. It is used for various disorders of the urinary tract including infections, pain, and swelling (inflammation), kidney stones, and discharge from the urethra or vagina. I know I have a massive kidney stone. Maybe it's causing my gut issues, I don't know, but I have been told that Chanca Piedra can help break down the stone. Chanca Piedra is expensive to buy alone. It is also used for digestive tract disorders including gas, loss of appetite, stomachache, intestinal infections, constipation, lower blood sugar, and dysentery. Some people use Chanca Piedra as a liver tonic and for liver problems including hepatitis B. Other uses include treating diabetes, gallstones, colic, flu, high blood pressure, sore throat and swollen tonsils, swine flu, yellowing of the skin (jaundice), abdominal tumors, pain around the rectum, fever, sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea, malaria, tumors, caterpillar stings, cough, fluid retention, itching, miscarriage, tremors, typhoid, anemia, asthma, bronchitis, thirst, tuberculosis, and dizziness. I'm hoping it will calm my gut issues, bring down my swollen gut, and help me to lose a few pounds through the cleanse. This product does include Turmeric, but unfortunately, curcumin is poorly absorbed into the bloodstream. It helps to consume black pepper with it, which contains piperine, a natural substance that enhances the absorption of curcumin by 2,000%. Even better is a product called Bioperine, found within this supplement, which is a branded extract of black pepper which is 95% piperine to ensure the full effects of Tumeric for inflammation. I am hoping this product with the other awesome ingredients will help to speed up the healing in my gut. In addition to this well thought out supplement, it contains Grape seed extract which may help with a type of poor circulation (chronic venous insufficiency) and high cholesterol. As mentioned earlier, I have high cholesterol, so we will see how well it helps me. I will try to report back the Cholesterol level test results. Grape seed extract also reduces swelling caused by injury and helps with eye disease related to diabetes. These are substances that protect cells from damage and may help prevent many diseases. Since I had prediabetes, I'm hoping this product will help with my vision issues. Finally, this product includes complimentary vitamins to help keep cells and body functioning. It must be doing something because the energy is much better now and my prediabtes issues seem to be under control. I'm just hoping the cholesterol, gut swelling, and weight come down. I have PCOS and my hair has always been thin, both the individual strands and the overall amount. I have been seeing scalp between the hairs in the front (widow's peak) and near the back for a while. I've been faithfully using Milk Thistle for over 2 months now and I can honestly see a BIG difference. There's lots of new growth around my hairline. When I look at the back of my hair, I no longer see the scalp. My hair looks full. I'm still seeing scalp at my widows peak, but it is getting better and I have so many tiny hairs poking through the bare widow's peak area which is NEW growth! It's too early to see if the individual strands are getting thicker, but it's obvious the overall amount of hair is getting better. My hair is growing now as well. In about 6 weeks, my hair has grown just over an inch. I'm very impressed! Note: Along with Milk Thistle, I also take a few other supplements for my PCOS that help with MY own PCOS symptoms so my results could be a combination of all of them and not just the Milk Thistle alone. But Milk Thistle does personally help me! I heard that it is best to take liver support (Milk Thistle) at night because your liver does its daily routine between 1 AM and 3 AM which made me switch when I was taking it. I cannot be happier with this product - was having issues with feeling lethargic in the morning and this seems to have fixed the problem. Milk Thistle is a very good product to detox my liver and keeps my liver clean. Remember to give herbal supplements time to work... sometimes you have to take herbal supplements for a month or so to be able to tell any difference. I have been using this for about 2 weeks now. I take it at night. I can definitely tell the difference in my energy levels and rest. I am also a bariatric patient so pills can be daunting; these are easy to digest with no aftertaste. GOOD INVESTMENT for your health. I will keep them in supply.

I love taking detox products because they help me with keeping my weight down, feeling healthier overall, prevent some other health issues (I hope), and also help a bit with my IBS/Crohn's. Milk thistle is a particular favorite of mine, so this is pretty much the perfect product for me in that respect. The capsules are easy to swallow, and there's no funky aftertaste. Best of all, though, they WORK. I especially love that I can take these detox products to help prevent the kava and prescriptions I take from damaging my liver as much as they could without the detox supplement. I double it up with a special blend of iced tea I make which contains green tea and a detox tea. It really helps! And it's hard to explain how these make you feel healthier overall until you have actually been taking them for a while. Initially, you won't notice much of a difference, but after a month or two, you'll start noticing that you feel a little bouncier and more energetic, and overall feel "cleaner"... like your pores and everything seems to feel like it is all doing its proper job without any toxins clogging up your bodily functions.

I can't vouch for the efficacy of this product as I haven't been diagnosed with any ailment that requires Milk Thistle however I've been suffering from kidney pain and hoped this would help. I haven't noticed any real difference since taking this though. You take 2 about 30 minutes before a meal so there have been a few times I've missed a dose as well, this might also explain why I haven't noticed a difference / change.

Okay. I have to be honest, at first I was afraid to try this so my husband did. He took his first dose late morning. About 7 hours later he had a huge poop. He said he felt completely empty. The next day he took another dose. This stuff is cleaning out my husband. He likes it and says it gives him more energy. What's in the bottle? There are 60 vegetarian capsules. They contain 20 active ingredients including vitamins and herbs. You take two a day about 30 minutes prior to a meal. So you get a full months supply. They do not really have a taste. They do have the GMP seal. Great product! First week I felt a little run down while my body started to clean out the toxins. Within just a few weeks liver enzyme numbers came down. Had blood work done about 2 weeks before starting and about 2 weeks in again after doctor noticed some high numbers. I took 2 every night right before bed. I thought I was just going to do this once for 30 day to detox but after finishing the bottle and a little over a week has passed I can feel slightly sluggish again. Just ordered a second bottle to start up and maintain with 1 pill nightly. They also contain a lot of vitamins that are much needed too.

Okay, I'm going to be honest. I quit drinking so I wanted to do something to help my liver! I hope it's working! What I do feel is a really good amount of energy that I had never had before. (I've quit drinking before and I have never had this much energy) so I know it's the Milk Thistle. ALSO, a HUGE plus is that it has really controlled my appetite. Something I wasn't expecting. The time before when I quit drinking I ate constantly and gained like 25 lbs within the first few months, and to be truthful I feel like I have lost a little weight. I don't have a scale so I am not sure but my clothes feel a little looser so I know it's this Milk Thistle. (BONUS!) This makes me feel really really good. I was hoping for a big poop like others have mentioned, but that hasn't really happened. I'm going to do a liver and gallbladder cleanse and then keep taking these and then I'm sure my energy will be through the roof! I'm sure you will love it as I have. Thanks for a great product.
