Excellent wax, durable, and inexpensive
Having used Swix waxes for the longest time, I wanted to try something new last ski season to see if I was missing out on any other products out there. I am a New England skier that gets out for usually 15-20 ski days a year consisting mostly of Vermont, but do end up at the Pocono region ski areas. Applying the wax is no different than using any other non-fluorocarbon ski wax (such as a Swix CH7) - use your iron to melt it and drip it onto your bases (for a point of reference, I have my Swix T74 Ski Iron set to the setting for CH7, which is 135 degrees Celsius on the iron). The wax goes on smooth, and dries in the same amount of time as any other wax. Scraping excess wax off the bases seems a little tougher than a CH7, but it is not overly difficult to do so like some harder waxes are. From a skiing standpoint, the wax felt great under my bases - had a great amount of glide on my ski days with temperatures ranging from single digits to the low 30's. The wax would last me approximately 4-5 days, which seems to be a little more durable than the Swix waxes, which would generally get me around 2-3 ski days. Overall, if you are thinking about trying out a new brand of wax, this is certainly worth giving a shot and I've been happy that I made the switch over.

Great Wax, Great Price!
I already knew I liked Purl wax because I'd bought a rather small chunk of it in a ski shop for nearly the same price as this big one pound block. This is a fabulous price, even with shipping added on. I like this wax better than all the others I've tried, it goes on well and scrapes off easily, and it holds up well on my skis. I haven't seen the need to mess with different temperature waxes, this one works great in all temperatures in my experience. Highly recommended.

Great wax - great value
Wax works very well. Really have nothing to compare it to but I can say that it made a huge difference vs riding unwaxed skis. I ski park primarily so I hit rails all the time. Quick hot wax with this stuff before a sticky powder day makes me fly down the mountain vs being stuck and barely moving. This brick of was is HUGE and is great value. I waxed my skis like 3 times already and barely used a tiny corner of it. Should last a handful of seasons.

Good wax. But hard to scrape off
Good wax. But hard to scrape off. Gave me a good shoulder and forearm workout. But the end result was great. My snowboard was a lot faster and was able to go through the flat spots at the resort with ease. No need to skate through them. temperature was at around 50-55 sunny day. This was used on a sintered base board so the wax should hold up for a few days for riding.

Cheaper doesn't mean less good!
First, I should say I am not a professional skier. Temperature specific wax is important for fun on the slopes! Keeps you gliding along, especially in that sticky spring snow. I personally do not see anything better about more costly waxes. The big block of purl willl last me a long time!

Hot ski wax!!
Ski bum here. I’ve been using this wax for years and I even know the owner of the company. This is the best wax for the most amount of temperatures.

Doesn’t last long. Have to rewax every outing
Wax seems fine putting it on and works okay skiing but it doesn’t seem to last. Wax is complete gone after a few hours skiing, so I have to re-wax every time before going out. Other brands I’ve tried usually lasted 3-5 days out skiing.

Easy to use, large block, low odour.
Product as described. Easy to use. Low odour. Was shipped without any packaging so some product had chipped off into small pieces in transit.

1lb (454g) block came out to be 363g
Wax of block was claimed to be 1lb (454g) and after weighing it brand new it's only 363g. 80% of claimed weight. Shown pictures of both top and underside weight
