Hertel All Temperature Ski and Snowboard Wax - Super HotSauce - Rub On or Iro...

This stuff works great. I've got 2 seasons on my skis with this now. It doesn't like extreme cold, like down to 0 or negatives, but in the high teens and above it does great. I did find that following the instructions by setting the iron on a higher temperature did make a difference than a lower setting that still melted the wax. I've waxed my skis 3 times this season, although it was exceptionally icy weekends most of the year which ate through the wax a lot faster. Last year I only applied once mid season and then at the end for storage. I'll repurchase this when my bar runs out next season.

I used Hertel wax back in the 80's as a very consistently good universal wax that performed well over a wide temperature range. I needed to wax my skis and realized I was out of wax. I saw this on Amazon and ordered at 10am. It was delivered by 2pm and my skis were ready to go for the next day. The wax worked great and brought back some great childhood memories.

For the money, I don't think this wax can be beat. I've been using it on my Jones Flagship the last two seasons, and the results speak for themself. I've been on everything from slush to ice (and all the good stuff in between) , and one thing remains constant..... I pass everyone on the flats and tamer slopes, skiers and other boarders alike, with this wax. Not because I'm better than all of them, but because my wax is better than theirs. I hot iron, scrape, and brush it myself, lasting about 7 full days before I start to notice any degradation. Next I'm going to try their 739 FC wax. I can't imagine anything being faster than their hot sauce I'm using now, but at double the price and awesome reviews, I'm going to have to see for myself.

I initially ordered this because I wasn't satisfied with the fact that I live right by the One Ball Jay factory here in WA state but I had to drive across the Tacoma bridge, pay a toll, then pay for overpriced wax! I swear by Black Magic by One Ball Jay but I don't get enough of it for the price and the miles I drive to get it. So I read all your reviews here and bought this wax. Sadly I got into a bad snowboarding accident and hurt my back so I didn't get to try this wax out. My boyfriend did though he hasn't been riding as a long as I have so he doesn't like to go as fast as I do. I taught him how to wax his board so he knows how to apply hot wax correctly. He is a beginner/intermediate groomer rider. For what it's worth though he did just come back down from the mountain (rubbing it in my face that he went without me) and he said the wax was great, made him go FAST. It was a spring day about maybe 55 degrees or so at 6,000 ft, no new powder just groomed spring-like conditions. I guess you can trust his review, I don't know, I'll update this review when my back is better and I get out onto some spring slush. I like to go off piste no matter what the conditions so I'll give you guys a more thorough, well-rounded review. From what I know about surfactants from chemistry, this should work well during spring-like slushy conditions. With the Cascade concrete we get here in WA, we need all the help we can get from our wax. Be safe & wear a helmet up there. It saved my life.

It’s wax,it works well. Recreational skier here in WA PNW. Yes, there’s all kinds of temp/condition products out. I’d rather ski more than spend time in the garage lab prepping for home Olympic standards to get performances that take away from fun time. Think about it. Get out there this season.

I was a swix user for years until a patrol buddy told me about Hertel. This wax outlasts every wax I’ve tried, I burn all the other brands off in a couple runs. As an instructor and a race coach, I need it to last all day as I’m on snow 6+ hours at a time. Hertels is what lasts, keeps me sliding in all conditions, it really does. I’ve gotten 7 full days in real Colorado snow with no base burn! It holds up to eastern ice all day before needing a refresh. I burn the others off by lunch. Hertels is legit.

Maybe it's my technique, maybe it's the wax, but this stuff works better than advertised for me. I get asked "Where did you get your skis waxed" as I glide by people on long outruns. For an all-temp wax you simply can't beat this stuff.

This is a great all around alpine ski wax. It provides good coverage. It goes on easily and polishes up and brushes out nicely. I find noticeable glide improvement over many other waxes I have tried for my 60 ski days per year. I use this about ever 5 days. Great value for the money as well.

Absolutely wonderful wax, works great. I did both boards and skis before going on holiday and I flew past everyone on the slopes. Highly recommended and worth every penny.

Bought this for my daughters grey Addidas Campas shoes and it is amazing, cleans scuffs on shade so well!
