Very good for helping adhesion of tape, films, etc. to skin.
I use these with the Dexcom G7 sensor, and have never had a problem with detatched sensor with water from showers, swimming, or heavy sweating in Texas summers. Also useful before applying butterflies or steri-strips for wound closure. Best practice is to wash with soap and water, use the wipe and allow brief drying time, then apply adhesive covering. Do be aware that if (like me) you have hairy arms or other body parts, you will pull most of those hairs when removing the covering. Shaving area covered with electric razor before sarting will assist greatly in avoiding 'depilatory pain'. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

No more wasted patches
EDIT: I tried putting this under my patch to prevent the nasty rash I get from the adhesive. I can’t recommend it. I change my patches every three days and on that third day I really start having a lot of pain because the medication is wearing off. Usually, it’s only an hour or so after I place a new patch before my pain is gone. When I changed my patch this time I had a rash under it again. I usually place my patch, then apply this skin protectant around the patch. This time I applied it to the entire area and then placed the patch. I was in horrible pain that evening and I’m sure it’s because the solution prevented the medication from absorbing into my skin. I still swear by this product to keep the clear bandage in place for days. It works better than anything I’ve ever found. I ordered this product because I was tired of using sticky, messy benzoine swabs to keep my medication patches from falling off before their time and being wasted. I have tried every combination of everything to try to keep them on including duct tape (really!) I didn’t know if these would work as they are described as skin protector, but I thought why not. They are SO good. They hold my transparent bandage on over my patch so well that I have to pick at a corner to peel it off. It lasts the full three days, even through showers. Non-staining and clear, it goes on easily and there’s plenty on each swab. I use these clear bandages to go with them and they work really well to keep the patch secure and avoid waste: 150 Pieces Stretch Adhesive Bandages Transparent Film Dressing Bandages Waterproof Adhesive Bandages (3.1 x 3.1 Inch) I wish I knew whether I can use this skin prep under my patch to avoid the nasty rash I get from the adhesive without affecting the medication absorption.

Good adhesive ability
The one small issue I have with this product is my own fault and did not read carefully. I have a colostomy and dealing with a lot of skin issues. These burn the raw skin badly but I did find if I use a non alchohol brand first and then this brand they do a really great job keeping my supplies attached. Really pleased with that part because most don't have the adhesive quality.

Saves you money over the little packs, and it works.
When applied to the penis first I think it helps protect the skin from what is basically an adult diaper rash on the penis when using a condom catheter. Also I think it saves you money to buy the bottle instead of the little packs.

so worth it!
i've been using smith+nephew skinprep pads off & on for over 30yrs. i've tried other, less expensive brands of skin protecting pads, but, fir me, these are worth the xtra cost. i'm an ostomate with sensitive skin, & for each appliance change, i have to apply skin protectant after each of 3 different product applications. this is the only brand that has enough protectant for 3 applications! i simply pour the remaining liquid out of the packet onto the pad. none of the other brands have enough protectant on/in them for 3 applications.
