I’ve been using thayers witch hazel toner daily since I was in middle school. It’s wonderful at reducing the size of pores, and removing blackheads as well. The only potential downside is that if your skin is on the dryer side this could cause it to dry out even more but, for oily/combination skin like myself it’s great!

I have started a cult following of this brand and scent of witch hazel. !! Not even kidding. I started using it years ago. I use a mild soap to wash my face then I moisen a cotton pad with Thayer's witch hazel (always the rose!!) and cleanse/tone my skin. It tingles a little bit but feels so nice and hydrating! I use it on my skin every single day. I use it on a sunburn. I used it after I shave. I got my mom addicted, she started noticing how it made my skin look and feel, so maturing you wanted to know what I was doing!! It started tightening up her face and giving it more of a glow! She was hooked! I got two of my friends addicted! My sister's and sister-in-laws love it and have noticed a youthful glow to their skin. I even got my man addicted to it! After years of harsh sun and little to no moisturizing ... It has brought back his skin to a nice healthy looking glow. He swears by it and tells people about it too! It hydrates and makes you feel clean!!! You should start to notice a glow for awhile of consist use. Consist use over time is key! These things take time.... But I can say, after 10 years of use... And creating a following, shall we say.. cult of Thayer's Witch Hazel lovers!!! I would recommend this to anyone! I have watched people who are acne prone, people with skin issues of all kinds slowly clear up, over time, and start looking healthier. It cant fix everything... But it certainly improves and helps! Can you tell that I am addicted?? Try it for yourself. Use it everyday for at least a month or two. Don't limit it to your face either!! I use it on camping trips to cleanse my face when water is limited, I also use it on my arms and legs. Ladies, use it on your collarbone to keep your skin from prematurely aging. Moisture after. I use it to sooth bug bites, itchy skin... Dry skin... You name it, I've probably tried it. I recommend the rose witch hazel. Best smell... Best feel... Best. Just buy it already!! Or I'll have to keep writing long reviews about it!

I never write reviews about skin care products because no matter how many different ones I try (high end or affordable), I don't notice anything great worth mentioning. This toner though, I think has just simplified my routine by so much. For reference, I have acne-prone, combination skin (oily forehead and t-zone, normal to dry on rest) and have adult acne especially around that time of the month. Aside from cleansing, I've only been using this toner and one moisturizer (I switch those up depending on how my skin feels) every morning and night. On rare occasions my skin feels hydrated enough, I really only put this toner on and that's it. What I like about using this is that it doesn't do anything extraordinary nor does it cause any problems. It keeps my face looking NORMAL and controlled. Which is really all I need, and my skin just feels good. My breakouts have been very minimal aside from the ones in the chin area due to hormones every month. I have noticed my face overall looks significantly brighter and clearer- I think I recognized this difference about a couple of weeks in first trying it. I used to have a lot of redness which felt like they were permanently there and won't go away. Now it's only a bit red around the nose and chin area. For application, I don't use cotton pads; I think it's a bit unnecessary as it soaks up a lot of product. I put a tiny puddle in my palm (always with clean hands) and slap it on. The consistency is like water but I never have the problem of it running down my arm. On drier days, I put on 2-3 layers of this (pat in, let absorb, put some more on), after that my skin feels super hydrated. The smell isn't anything to praise about, but it's nothing that will keep me away from using it either. This isn't a perfume, and as a skin care product, I would be worried if it did smell like one. If you've smelled real flowers, they smell good, but there's sometimes that slight underlying scent that might be not as pleasant. To me, that's what this toner smells like. It does smell of roses, but it has that touch of realness (how do you even describe this). I don't find it terrible at all. At the price, it's really worth giving it a go if you're looking for a good, basic toner to start your skin care routine. Going in I knew nothing about this toner other than the amount of reviews it has on Amazon and one youtube video of someone praising it, and I'm VERY glad I tried it. One bottle kept me good for 5 months (I already have my backup bottle ready). I bought my first bottle of the rose petal at the beginning of May this year, and I'm now about to finish up the last few drops. As long as my skin doesn't suddenly decide to react differently to it, I think I'm going to be keeping this toner as a staple for a long, long time. Update (a couple of years later..): Just wanted to add I still love this toner. And contrary to my old review above, using the toner with a cotton pad has been a game changer. Using it by itself was great as well, but I tried using it with a cotton pad to gently wipe the face and within a couple of weeks, the texture of the skin got better on another level.

This toner leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and hydrated without any dryness or irritation. The lavender scent is light and relaxing, and the alcohol-free formula is gentle enough for everyday use. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and balanced. Highly recommend!

Dopo alcune settimane di utilizzo, ho notato una riduzione dei rossori e dei piccoli sfoghi cutanei. Il mio incarnato appare più uniforme e luminoso. Inoltre, è ottimo come base prima dell'applicazione di sieri o creme idratanti, poiché aiuta a preparare la pelle ad assorbire meglio i trattamenti successivi. Essendo privo di alcol, non dà quella sensazione di "pelle che tira", cosa che invece accade spesso con altri tonici. L'estratto di amamelide aiuta a restringere i pori e a mantenere la pelle purificata, senza però risultare aggressivo. In conclusione, Thayer Lavender Witch Hazel Toner è un must per chi cerca un tonico delicato ma efficace, con una formula naturale e una piacevole fragranza di lavanda. Perfetto per pelli sensibili, secche o che necessitano di un tocco calmante!
