A review from a 25 year veteran truck driver. I do also own the SKRS knob for the TM TH8A. This one I received works as intended. I purchased it for the Logitech Driving Force Shifter. The one that comes with the G920 wheel. This shifter knob is mounted to the shifter by pressing it on. There is a plastic sleeve inside the knob to make for a tight fit. After its on it takes some effort to remove it and it does not spin easily on the shaft. The switches work as intended. Windows 10 recognizes the lever/switches as two separate buttons. ATS however recognizes both buttons as the same (button 0), but it does actually work in game as two separate buttons on the knob. The quality of this thing overall is really good. I don't know if this thing is an actual knob out of a Man truck or not, as I have never driven a Man. But it does feel like an actual shift knob from a truck so I wanna say it is. The thing I noticed most is the stepped tapper at the bottom of the knob. That is not something I have ever seen on one in the US. This tapper creates an issue however by making the knob length longer over all. So by the time the knob is installed and fully depressed onto the shaft of this shifter, there is not a lot of space for the cable between the knob and the shifters vinyl boot. So either extend the original shaft or create a notch in the bottom of the knob for the cable to exit. This will help eliminate the cable from rubbing on the vinyl. The buttons compared to an actual truck. The splitter on the side of this one is stiff and has a very nice snap to each position. Very much like a new one would from the factory. The range lever on the front is also stiff but does not have the snap past center when moved. An actual shifter does. An actaul knob is very mechanical on the inside. So this lack of snap could be due to its modification to electronic output. My SKRS has a very nice snap to it on the range lever, but the splitter was always loose and less snappy. A lot like when an actual one is worn out. I purchased a second one these for a backup, but I might actually use this one instead and put my SKRS in a box as backup. I like this one better. Price! I know these seem expensive, but I have replaced two knobs in actual trucks and each knob from the dealer was about $90. So I can't complain. Update 3-8-22: I received the second knob the day after I ordered it. I plugged it in, and it works and feels exactly the same as the first one. I also happened to look down through the bottom of it and I could see where the fittings for the airlines will thread in. So yes, this is an actual knob from a truck. Bumped to five star instead of 4 for consistency in quality. The only reason for the 4 was the lack of snap on the range lever. Update 9-4-23: The kid has really put some good time and abuse (normal use) on this thing, and its still working. How much time, and in game miles I do not know. The splitter is still stiff as it was new. The range selector has very slightly loosened up. Again this is an actual knob out of a truck. And some of these things mechanically, last a decade or more before you want a new one. Thats a decade worth of hundreds of thousands of miles, through possibly the same amount of shifting. Its hard to say what they may have changed in the mechanicals of it, to make it USB. But I suspect the electronic part will fail before the knob does. And who knows when that will be, with any electronics. I have repaired the mechanicals in these, in trucks, and they really aren't that difficult to take apart. The hardest part is getting that dang cover off the top, without scaring any of it up. I even seen the professional shops scratch them up, doing it. So the electronics are what you'll be concerned about. I have read many of the reviews on this, and they seem mixed, from some folks who may not have used one of these IRL. I don't think you could go wrong. Price to me, seems very fair, when you compare what these cost at the truck dealer, new, at retail price.

I’m using the Aikeec USB Gearshift Knob mainly for American Truck Simulator, but also tested it with BeamNG, Forza, and Assetto Corsa—and it adds a whole new level of realism to all of them. It fits perfectly on my Logitech G920 setup and mounts to my NBCP 6-speed shifter with push-down reverse. Setup was easy, but just a heads-up: mine didn’t come with a manual. Thankfully it’s plug-and-play via USB, and mapping the buttons was super simple in ATS and BeamNG. The knob itself feels solid—it’s full metal and has a satisfying feel when shifting. The button layout is perfect for sim truckers who like to map engine brakes, lights, or transmission modes. Only small issue I had was the knob sliding sideways during intense shifting. Since it’s metal-on-metal, the set screws didn’t grip well enough. I added some electrical tape to the stick, and now it stays tight and doesn’t turn. Pros: • Heavy, realistic metal feel • Plug and play on PC • Great compatibility (works in multiple sims) • Nice button layout for shifting functions Cons: • No manual included • Could use rubber or better grip for the mount (mine slipped until I modded it) Bottom line: This knob seriously levels up your sim rig if you love truck driving games or just want more immersion. It’s well worth the money, and with a small tweak to secure it better, it’s now one of my favorite parts of my whole setup.

Good concept poorly made broke on me while using after a couple of days edges feel kinda rough ans unfinished but worked flawlessly the little time I did have it

works great. my second shifter, the last one made it a year before the lower button quit. was a different brand. this one needs modification to work as the splitter has a lockout and works in low range only. take it apart and grind off the lock wedge on the blue splitter peice and it's good to go. if your able then save some money and get gaming with this otherwise great shifter.

While this feels initially like a solid unit, the entire lower half under the plastic sleeve is 3D printed. Badly printed. the photos in the as show it atop the G series shifter, whoever it wont fit. The phot where yo use a bright inside and a tab is the G force shifter, the other is this POS. The shaft of the Logitech shifter is 9.8mm this handles hole is only 9.6mm. And it is missing the anti-rotation tab as well. There is no hole for the screw to secure it from the top. I don't know about you, but I don't have any reamers to enlarge said hole. UPDATE Use a 10mm reamer bit with a tap handle. It easily cuts the PLA the substructure is made from. I my case it has a press fit, and take some effort to get it to spin on the shaft. I can up it to three stars, but as most folks probably don't have or care to order the tools to mod it I cant give it any higher. So far it is holding up nicely. And I saw a review that showed the bule box it comes in. Pretty sure that is the factory box, and mine had a mini manual and the shifter knob with in a sealed plastic bag. It works, although the range lever should be stiffer, however as far as it's functions it work great. But still I cant use it. Perhaps the G series had an update since this one was made, but it still stands I cant use it. Oh well... As far as the materials and feel it is adequate to good, really would like to have seen them include the different shift patterns, but that is a small gripe. Overall had to dock 3 stars, one for the failure to fit the shifter, another for the lack of pattern inserts, and the third biggest negative is the 3d-prinded lower that was covered by a hard plastic sleeve.

I was not impressed by the quality, the price I would say it is way too much. This thing with 2 buttons and USB cord is nearly twice expensive as the whole Logitech shifter. But well, I did not see any other options available online, that would look like an actual trucks shifter. The range selector (black) is kinda ok, just it looks cheap. The gear splitter (blue) is a little hard to move and there is no click or anything. The gear pattern drawn on the top is I don't know from what universe :) Wish those were replaceable, but that doesn't matter much, you can have any gear layout you want in the game anyway. So even with this low quality and high price, my driving experience (American Truck Simulator) was so much better than having the buttons mapped on the steering wheel. I gave 1 star for "value for the money" because I think it should be like twice cheaper... at least. "Thickness"? hmm how you rate that lol? I guess it is ok, so 5 stars, and "stretch"? idk what is that, I'll just leave it unrated

This is an actual shifter knob from a rl truck the real ones run about $60usd and they converted it to work with a USB cable which is pretty ingenuous. Thank you for doing so. I do feel the price could be a bit cheaper. The splitter the switch on the front is a bit hard to move but in time it may loosen up. the blue switch on the side is a high/low setting and is not made to "CLICK" this switch is for high/low gear selection such as RL/RH or 8L/8H etc.. Most driver rarely use this setting (switch) unless they have a very heavy load to get rolling and then on the highway to switch to 8H for better fuel econ. All I did to install it was unscrew the original shifter head and slide this on on. it fits snug and no screws needed hence no instructions. its well made at least the knob lets see how well of a job they did converting it to USB. Only time will tell but I think this will out last the Logitech shifter unit.

Don’t not work on 3.0 USB but work on a 2.0 USB input, works very well and fits on a moza shift but you need to tread m12x1.5 in the shift and fits good

I normally never write reviews, but here is my experience with this item: 1 - The shifter had scratches all over it on delivery which made me think that either the manufacturing process is really bad, or the item was a return\refurbrished (which I think its both). 2 - The "High\Low" is written in chinese, not english. 3 - The screwing hole might not fix you shifter (mine was a DX from simagic); Fine this is my mistake for not checking, but still be careful and make sure it is compatible before buying. 4 - The USB cable was almost detached from the base on delivery, ity was really friddle and disconnected if I was shifting to aggressively (Had to zip-tie it). 5 - Because the cable makes a 90deg with the base the strain\fatigue generate while using it broke it (cable severed) in about 10hours of usage. 6 - Top part (fake leather) is starting to detached from the base because it isn't glue propely (well not glue a all). Basically I paid 125$CAD and receive some refurbrished chinese crap that lasted no more than 10h of usage. Give yourselves a favor and dont buy this item. And if you do, don't tolerate any visual quality issues because problems will show up in the near future.
