A worthy addition to the shed
I have destroyed spades over the years just digging let alone digging up stumps. This makes a hard job a touch easier and made short work of an established buddlier stump. Haven't pushed it to its limit yet but I'm hoping it lasts longer than my previous spade

Good shovel but the handle snapped off
Good shovel. It can cut through small roots with no problem, larger roots need some strength. It Seemed strong and well built but the handle snapped off after its second use. But I still use it without the handle.

Spade handle snapped and spade rusted!!
This spade was used only 3 times. It was great... WELL UNTIL I AND MY PARTNER TRIED USING IT AGAIN AND AS I LENT ON IT IT SNAPPED VIOLENTLY AND CAUSED A VERY BAD FALL AND HURT MY WRIST. IM OKAY NOW BUT VERY SHOCKED AND NOT HAPPY WITH THE HANDLE SNAPPING. THE SPADE IT SELF WAS TOO EASY TO SCRAPE OFF THE PROTECTIVE COATING ON THE METAL AND IT RUSTED SO FAST. IT IS A REAL PITY THAT this has happened because I thought it was a fantastic spade until it rusted and the handle broke.

The photo is of one of our gardens, but not the shovel. It's been too cold and snowy to go out and get a picture of it! But this shovel is the real deal. Cuts through tree roots, debris, rocks and pebbles in the dirt, you name it. We're hardcore gardeners on six acres, and we've needed to shovel like this for the longest time. This one had great reviews, so we bought it, and we're completely concur with the positive reviews. It is well made, substantial, easy to use, and has very special components that make it the best shovel possible. The design is exquisite. Very pleased!

Okay, just got this shovel the other day. Got the opportunity to unpack it and use it on a couple of Roots I've been trying to get up for a long time. It really ate them up. Not on the first portion of the dig. But much easier than most shovels do. With the broad top it's a lot easier to plant than most shovels are with their narrow kicks on the top. I see this is a birthday present for a buddy of mine. He does a lot of yard work as well and I think he will find it very useful. Need a new shovel buy this one. Easy to use and lightweight.
