As others said, they skipped the step of adding water plus removing it; hence, it is effervescent, and you have to wait for the bubbles a little bit. No big deal. So with mega-c, you have the two possible side effects of diarrhea and kidney stones. A "buffered c" allows you to take more, without diarrhea. Pauling's Sodium Ascorbate, is C plus baking soda. This one is superior because it replaces the sodium with potassium. Most people are a little high on sodium(due to salt additives in everything), and a little low in potassium, as 3g RDA is hard to hit. Potassium increases urinary ph, which prevents kidney stones; it also increases salivary ph. You get a two-for with this one... vitamin-c plus potassium. Potassium has other benefits like reducing water retention(short term weight).

Best all natural taste i've had

So far so good. This seems to give a lot of positive physical energy & a bit mysteriously discovered product having helped someone with cancer by opening the cell. High-potency product in a class of it's own & worth the research for discovering its use. This seems to have helped with inflammation from ankylosing spondylitis/enthesitis, where "nothing" else has been able to help with this. Found more movement, less inflammation - although I have to stay away from starch, high glycemic sugars, and lactose, associated by studies to be agitators for klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria associated to some ankylosing spondylitis.

A few reviewers have stated that they dislike the taste (potassium tends to taste bitter). But I mix mine into smoothies, and I also add it to my flavored drinking waters* (I like Wyler's Strawberry and Orange flavors, but YMMV). My recipe: 2 packets Wyler's (use 3 for a stronger fruit flavor); 1 tsp Potassium Ascorbate; 64 oz. to 2 liters cold water (use an empty soda or juice container). Shake until blended. Sip throughout the day. Side note: I used to get my potassium from low sodium V8, but they re-formulated their juice blend to the point that it was no longer as-substantial a source for potassium. That's when I started looking into supplements, and I found this product...and I could not be happier!
