This is a very good case to protect your phone. It’s quite durable and stylish at the same time. I highly recommend it!!

A fine improvement over prior enclosures which claimed to be waterproof but were designed with avoidable flaws and poor workmanship. The Lifeproof enclosure is easy to open and close when it is necessary. It maintains a consistent waterproof and shockproof seal. One does need to be careful how one opens and closes the component which protects the power port but if one is attentive this enclosure can protect one’s phone for years. With use I became surprised how poorly the buttons of the Lifeproof functioned as they appeared to become flimsier with use eventually requiring me to remove the entire enclosure to reposition the buttons and then reassemble the enclosure. I replaced the Lifeproof with another enclosure as they also ceased making enclosures protecting the XS Max.

Ok, so I don’t normally leave reviews because I have such a busy schedule but I absolutely had too for this product. I have had a life proof case before with my old phone. It protected it great, I had it for about two years and it kept my phone looking brand new. So I went ahead and got one for my new phone and boy, I am glad I did. Within a week of me putting this case on, I washed it in the washing machine with my clothes. I have never done this ever before. I didn’t realize it until after my phone had been in there cluncking around for 45 minutes. I was mortified, my brand new phone....my only hope was this case. Well, I got it out and took it out of the case and it was completely dry and my phone was unharmed. Still looked brand new. Thank goodness, I had no insurance on this phone... I would have been screwed. So I highly, highly recommend this case!

By far the best car out there. I only use lifeproof. I always get top dollar when I go to resell my phone. The case, after two years or more will be trashed, but phone will look brand new. They did not have one out for the iPhone X max when I first got it so I got an inferior car and it got some damage then I looked and they had one so I upgraded. They are always worth the money. Every once in a while I do get the weird, I guess moisture look where the screen sticks to the plastic shield and not sure what that is so if anyone knows let me know. Most of the time I just deal with it. Or I will take the phone out and let both air dry for the night and it goes away. Other than that my phone stays in the car for years at a time and never had an issue. Thanks lifeproof.

I’ve only had this case for four days, but so far, so good. It’s a LifeProof case, which I’ve owned before for past iPhones, and there are some small, but significant improvements , and unfortunately, some pesky remaining issues. THE GOOD: 1. It’s Waterproof. I mainly got this case for wintertime and also usage in areas like pools or the ocean to be able to use my phone and not worry about damage. 2. THE SCREEN is good! With the new iPhone XS Max, I didn’t want any type of screen cover to ruin that beautiful OLED screen. Thankfully, this case’s built-in screen cover is flat laying & there’s no noticeable gap between screen protector and phone. THE “BAD”: The Price is outrageous. I ended up getting this off Amazon during what must’ve been a Black Friday discount. I see the price is back up again. $89 is way, way too much. Get this case during a sale or wait until that price goes down! THE EDGES wear way too easily. If, like me, you remove your cases often then be prepared to have slightly cosmetic damage to the areas that you remove the case. Sadly, LifeProof did not include the handy plastic “case key,” that they did with previous cases to open this case. I kept one from a iPhone 8 Plus and used that, but even with that, it leaves a little cosmetic damage. And they suggest you use a coin?!?!?? If you do use a coin you’re gonna bend your case edges. You’ve been warned! Overall, I’m happy with this case for the price I paid (around $49).

I bought this case before our vacation to Destin, FL so i could take pictures of my kids snorkeling and playing in the pools. I was very disappointed in the fact that once the phone was submerged in the water i could not press a single button on the screen. I had to take a picture using the side volume buttons and hope it would take. Also when i did put the phone in the water sometimes the water would press different things on the screen and change out of the camera app. I use to have an iPhone case called the LifeProof Nuub a long time ago where the front screen was the ACTUAL screen on the iPhone and didn’t have a film over it. Over all i am happy with the case and it helped capture more memories!

This case fits an iPhone XS Max. Can easily maneuver the touch screen, silent and volume works. And it protects iPhone well. Hubby works in construction so he needs a durable dust proof case and this meets expectation and performs well. My husband has gotten Lifeproof cases for some time now and have always excelled. Highly recommend. Also, did the water test but as you have read our need wasn’t specifically the water proof ability but dust proof and shock proof.

With most modern phones now days being IP68, Water proofing from a case isn't as important like it use to be. The reason I bought this case is for the built in screen protector. But this isn't the only time I've bought this case for the same phone. This is my second case (same one), since the last one needed replaced due to fogging / hazing on the camera lens covers. Making photos look terrible! And it was only a couple years old. Another point of failure I've found from my last one is the small plastic hatch to cover the power port. It will break after while. Still with those two flaws, I've rebought the case because of the screen protector and fairly decent drop protection. Hopefully I'll have better luck with this one! I would recommend this case if you needed a built in screen protector. However if you've used one before, You also know that you must push little harder on the screen as well. A trade off for the protection.

Lifeproof usually have best protective cases but not this FRE case. There is an air space between the screen and inbuilt screen protector makes it impossible to use . i have to press the screen hard to get to the apps or to do typing. i stopped using the case soon after .

Love a lifeproof case. Wanna throw your phone around or put it in the pool or just in general not worry about it. Buy this case

Received case today in the tiki blue and was very disappointed. I thought I was ordering a new case and this one appears worn and dirty right out of the box.

I think I might have been the first to order because at this time stil not available to order on the lifeproof website. I got it today and it fits perfect. I get comfort from have my phone case completely waterproof.
