Great quality, very sturdy It was sent in the most careful packaging I have ever seen. So carefully packed, I was extremely impressed with the care that went into securing it.

Have my first batch fermenting as I write this. Love having the lid and weights to match the crock. I have 20-25 pounds of shredded cabbage in and it is maybe 3/4 full. I was using large heads averaging about 5 pounds or slightly more. We found a plant stand at walmart with rollers to set it on as empty it is nearly 50 pounds. Weights seem to be doing a good job keeping kraut down and so far lid has contained most of the smell. Brings back memories of growing up and doing kraut as a family.

It's a great stone crock!
Being my first time making pickles, I needed a good stone crock. So, I ordered this particular one. It's wonderful. Well made. A good weight. Good fitting lid with stones to weigh down the cucumbers. It's a great buy!

MAGNIFICENT But What Gutter???
MAGNIFICENT CROCK 🐊 Just got it. BUT, what gutter??? Product documentation mentions "...need to top off the water in the gutter that makes a seal 🦭 from the outside air." Inside of crock is smooth and glazed, top unglazed but nothing approaching a gutter is present. Are these instructions for an older or a different design???

Great Sauerkraut Crock
Downsizing from my 25 gallon crock to a much more manageable 5 gallon crock for sauerkraut. Having the weights and lid is awesome. Crock was shipped perfectly and quickly. Looking forward to Kraut season.

Can't seal
Lid has to be worn into the top, its a half inch off at 90%
