Are these patches supposed to be put on the outside of the trousers so it's visible, or the inside after turning inside out?

One side sticky when heated with hot iron but only press and hold for a few seconds otherwise with burn. So keep pressing but move the iron about. ONLY hold for 5 seconds in one position!!!!! TURN THE FABRIC INSIDE OUT ... because that way the edges of the patch do not show. ALSO if you put the patch on the outside then you must cover it with a cloth when ironing for protection

What are these Patches made of?

The composition of these patches are 70% polyester 30% Cotton.

Do you iron them on both the front side and the back side?

hi. no you just iron on the top side.
