Dorman 911-064 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid

It worked and fixed the vehicle code as of now :)

Perfect fit for my Chevy Avalanche. I installed it in under 15 minutes. It got rid of my P0449 Evaporative emission (EVAP) system, vent valve - circuit malfunction code.

2010 Tahoe 5.3L started getting the P0449 and replaced both the vapor canister vent solenoid and fuel pressure sensor since it could also had been the problem, i used gor GM Genuine parts. For the vapor canister it’s part# 23481275 but the code came back a little over a month later. Going thru reviews for it, seems like i wasn’t the only one experiencing this, many people reported the part as either a cheap copy or just plain faulty, so i decided to get this Dorman one since i’ve never had any issues with any Dorman product. True enough, it’s been over 3 months and code hasn’t come back. Do yourself a favor and get this one instead.

This fixed my p0449 code on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. So far so good.

Would have given this 5 stars except for 1 major flaw. The vapor solenoid valve worked the way it is suppose to, the replacement plug color code is backwards which holds the solenoid wide open throwing an error code. Once I figured that out and corrected the wiring sequence, the solenoid valve functioned property. After driving the vehicle for approximately 15 minutes the engine light went off. I used my code reader to check the OBDIi system and there was no fault code detected. Hint, use your voltage meter to check the wiring prior to installation. I should have done this first instead of just matching the color coded wires. Obviously not an OEM type replacement plug..

Easy to install just need to use some WD-40 and a screwdriver to slide it off the bracket don't bother trying on both the bracket that that bolt is too tough to get to and maybe too rusted to remove so just bend the retainer clip and slide it off and when you put it back bend the clip where it should be to lock it in place. Also, the little harness that supplied that's just an adapter for the early models if needed I didn't need it because my harness fit and was the same design vent.

After 2 hours of struggle removing old unit, I find this unit did not fit my truck. Package arrived as it was opened and resealed very sloppy. I have used Dorman items before without issue and great quality. Not only did I have to ship it back, I lost the use of my vehicle 24 hours and spent another 2 hours re opened reinstalling. You couldn’t tell it was the wrong one until You Lowered the canister unit. After I. Installed the canister, the correct solenoid valve was broken installed in 15 minutes. Who compensates me for my time, loss or f use and aggravation? Buy parts locally

It's not oem but it does the job. Worked out perfectly.! No more check engine light on.

It's fit perfectly and on the picture it show with the adapter wire but when it arrives it doesn't come with adapter wire . I had to went out to buy the adapter wire.

Worked as should, no complaints, just double check connections.

Came with adapter cord and upgraded clip that goes on evaporate canister nipple.
