Skillstreaming the Elementary School Child/Skill Cards

This is an excellent book and should be a "must have" for every teacher. At the beginning of the year, before the big curriculum push begins, start using the activities in this book on a regular basis. This is "character" education of the best sort. There are lessons on all the things that all teachers wish parents still taught at home. This book would be useful in all grades since the skills taught are universally applicable.Don't give up on your students - "Skillstream" them.

Helpful while teaching in 3rd grade etc

I used this when teaching my autistic students. It has a great lesson plan and it makes teaching easy for teachers to use.

Useful addition to Skillstreaming book. If your school district provides money for curriculum or student supplies...go for it!

I think this book, an update of the original which I have also read, gives clear and precise instructions for creating prosocial behavior groups and interventions. The principles behind the model espoused in this book are sound and effective. In the short time I have used this model in my groups, I have seen some slight but noticeable behavior changes in the students.

The book was required for a class and I found that it was not only useful in the class but was applicable in my own classroom

I am using this for small group social skill building and it is broken down great for small learning groups.
