AMAZON SHOULD HAVE IT VERY SHORTLY. AMAZON WILL BE GETTING IT. YIPPEE UPDATE!!! 4/24/24 I just got an email stating: the New Kidney Restore Cats & Dogs Unflavored Formula is available! Now! on the manufacturer's website. Amazon soon to follow! YIPPEE!!!! Ah, their website shows OUT OF STOCK! Patience Plus! At least they got rid of the old formula. Still no New neutral version? It is now April 9! I happened to find a brand new old version I hadn't opened yet, & it was wonderful to see the old white version formula, no smell whatsoever I could detect. New version coming mid February 2024!!! That's what the told me but I haven't heard from them. This review is only on the updated bacon flavor and is not on the quality of the ingredients or its performance. It is so horrid it ruins the various delightful natural flavors of the very expensive kidney meals--all of them. It overwhelms & ruins whatever meal it is put into. Even if you put in a slight amount, the horrid "bacon" flavor totally ruins the taste & inhibits appetite. My poor kitty has left her dish after putting in only a slight amount of the brand new "bacon" flavor. Why update this product with such a horrid curve ball? It is not fair to kitty to have her delicious meals totally ruined with this ghastly stink. It wasn't this way before they changed the flavor from neutral almost to this horrid stuff. My E-mail was answered by the company which stated that they use other manufacturers who evidently devised this "bacon flavor" & there will soon be options of flavors, including a neutral one, coming soon in the new year--2024. This is an excellent product so I will keep my eyes peeled & wait for a neutral flavor. The company gave me excellent customer service & feedback when I was especially upset. I demanded for my complaint to go to the very top & the top responded with specific details. Hang in there because positive changes are coming & I will opt for the neutral flavor. Perhaps they will add a salmon flavor, not sure about that. They will need to clarify on the product page what flavor it is so we can choose & not be left in the dark. I will gladly change & update my review to 5 stars once I get my first neutral flavor canister. I can't wait! So please hurry.

Is good and helped to my pet.

I have two geriatric cats, and a litter of young cats. The oldest cat, Skit, is 15, really long and tall for a cat, and now he's starting to show his age. He's been stiff, lethargic, etc. and I'm not sure if his height is a factor in how well he moves around. (He's not fat, in fact he's a little thin.) Overall, the vet thinks he's doing pretty well for his age, but the kids and I wanted to help him feel better. I came across this product, read so many reviews, and decided to give it a try. After 3 months, its undeniable that Skit feels better. And of course, he doesn't have the ability to exhibit a placebo effect. What I think is especially fascinating about this product seeming to help him is... I only use half a scoop in a small can of wet kitten food. I mean, he's a cat, not a dog, so I don't think the serving size is suited the same. I use kitten food because it's easier on older cats and Skit has a little pica and digestion issues as it is. However, Skit never finishes the food. Never. He likes to eat about half and will not touch it again, until there's a fresh can the next day. The younger cats finish it off. I have no idea if the younger cats are feeling better eating the leftovers with the supplement in it or not. I cannot distinguish any changes in behavior, but they're young. Skit, however, definitely does feel better. He's more sociable, he hops up on the furniture with us more, he bathes himself more, he walks around and is more active. He obviously feels better, and he has started asking me for the food in his Skit way, which is to come quietly sit in the kitchen, stare at the bottle, maybe meow his deep voice at me once and just wait for me to realize he spoke at me and then look at me and the bottle until I get up. (He's a very quiet cat.) He seems to know that he feels better and he likes the flavor OK. And he seems to deal with the younger cats better too. We haven't done any blood tests to know for certain that Skit's had an improvement in health. He just behaves like he's happier. That's good enough for me. :) You might be wondering about the other geriatric cat (Todd), who's 13. He hasn't been feeling poorly and he hates canned food and most raw meat. I haven't figured out how I would give him this powder, but he doesn't seem to need it right now either. So if you have a cat who won't touch wet food, I'm not sure how you give them this supplement. Maybe if the time comes I'll try butter.

This company should pay ME for the waste of money they have caused me!! I have (4) 17 yr old cats, all with Chronic Renal Failure. The vet appointments and lab work are extremely expensive especially since I have 4. The food for Chronic Renal Failure is extremely expensive, especially because I have 4 senior cats and also because I am retired and a senior myself. I bought this supplement hoping it would help as one of the cats also has heart and thyroid problems. But not one of my cats would eat any food I mixed this with...and really, they treated it like it was toxic. They relunctantly walked towards it then stretched trying to get a better smell of it...then promptly ran off! All 4 !! So day after day, I tried to add less thinking maybe I added too much the first time. But every day I had to throw the food out! This canned food is near $3.00 a can so that is a LOT of money to throw away daily for 4 cats!! After a week of trying....I give up. I can't afford it and the cats hate it. My sickly cat has lost a little weight, because he is not eating as much since I didn't all other food for them. This is way over-priced anyway...and obviously was not tested on senior cats with renal failure who is their targeted customer!!! Don't buy for cats!!!!

This additive seems to work well for our 14 year old cat, but even with the dessicant provided in the jar it always crystalizes and becomes very problematic to use. I beleieve we will be looking for an alternative product...

My 17-yr old DSH was diagnosed w/renal disease earlier this year. She was placed on a special vet prescribed diet. Out of the available options, there was only one that she initially ate, but barely touched after 3 weeks. Even though she's on ⁷an appetite stimulant, she refused to eat any of the expensive vet food. She started losing weight and was lethargic and listless. She's tiny and only weighs 6 lbs., so losing even 1 pound makes a huge difference. I decided to give her whatever wet food she'd eat. It's a quality of life issue: why save her kidneys only to leave her hungry and miserable? I found Kidney Restore on-line and decided to try its. B/c of the appetite stimulant, she eats small meals 4 or 5 times a day. I added enough powder to each meal to equal a daily dose. Within two weeks, I noticed a change in her behavior. She has a lot more energy and is back to being her usual affectionate self. Her eyes are brighter and she is more vocal. Her vet said the powder didn't contain anything harmful and that even if the changes were from the "placebo effect," it won't hurt her. She's not scheduled for renal lab work for a few more months, but I'm curious to see if there is improvement of her BUN and creatinine levels. At the very least, I know she'll have a good quality life until the end of her days. The fine white powder mixes easily with wet food and I think she enjoys the bacon flavor. The scoop is a little hard to get out of the jar if you have arthritis or other mobilit[y issues. I will update my review when I have her lab results.

**UPDATE** THANK GOODNESS FOR THE UNFLAVORED VERSION!! MY KITTY IS BACK TO EATING IT. I HAVEN'T BEEN TO THE VET YET, BUT I DEFINITELY SEE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LITTER BOX AND SHE DOESN'T TURN HER NOSE UP ANYMORE!! ************************************* I have two senior cats with kidney issues. When I first purchased this product, the test results after a month of use were amazing. Both kitties kidneys had improved. Then the supplier ran out and my kitties went without the extra support. When the product was finally available...a couple of weeks later, the new product changed in color AND taste. It smells so strong and neither kitty will touch it. Now, one of my girls is in distress with her kidneys. I had such hope with this product, now I have stress at seeing the decline in my girl. I gave it 3 stars because the ORIGINAL product was a God send. Why did it need to change? If your cat will eat it, my guess is that it will still work but, I don't know if anything else in the product in regards to its benefits, changed as well. So disappointed and heart broken.

I realised my reorder has been cancelled....i just reorder the bundle...is there an issue with the order was hoping to receive them. Callie, my 15 yo mix Maltese/Corgi was a finicky eater and was losing control of her bladder and has borderline elevated phosphorous level. I started searching for a kidney supplement found this on Amazon. Her appetite and energy level is back to normal. Also. she seems to be able to hold her bladder and is eating on her own...I had to force feed and spoon feed her previously for over 2 months. I would recommend this supplement and Kidney Shield.

My German Shepherd was showing signs of kidney issues and when I took him to the vet’s it was confirmed. I ordered this product right away and started him on it as soon as it arrived. He has been on it for just over a month and the change in him is dramatic. His energy is back, he is eating and drinking normally and his test results are normal. I will keep him on this for the rest of his life.

Excellent product. I've been using this product with my cats for about 1 year now and it seems to be working well for them. One cat is 15 and the other is 8. They urinate less and seem to be more alert and active. I purchased this product for its supportive benefits on my cats kidneys after one of my previous cats died of kidney disease. Unfortunately, I found this product too late for her but I religiously sprinkle it on my cats meals and they don't seem to mind the baconie flavour at all. It's full of highly beneficial pro and prebiotics which helps with good gut health in my kitties. Some signs that it is actually working is that both of my cats have regained soft, silky fur, their appetite has improved and they don't seem to have the frequent litter box visits anymore. It all seems to be back to normal! I couldn't be happier and I'm sure my cats are feeling much better for it too!

I read good reviews on this product so hopefully it works for my dog. She has been on it for few days. Yet to see any results. So far she doesn’t reject it. I’m also giving other supplements like acacia gum powder , adored beast healthy gut and this mix in organic Greek yoghurt. Beside these, she’s also on fish oil, coq10 and some other supplements. Will update again

My 15 year-old dog had some signs of kidneys failure and by searching online I came across this product. After getting some inconclusive answers from my vet why the urine test presented some abnormal results, I decided trying this supplement. Although I cannot say for sure because my vet didnt run a second urine test, I truly believe the supplement helped her to stop feeling so thirsty.
