Can you put an 8×10 picture where the letterboard is?

The letter board is basically a piece of cardboard. There is no glass on that slot, so unless you had one to fit, I would say no. However, it does secure from the back the same way the photos do.

How do I get the letters? Mine didn't come with any and I had to print the saying as it was a gift.
