Swann-morton Scalpel Blades, #11, 5 Pack

I purchased these #11 blades to keep in my first aid kit. It is absolutely the best tool for removing splinters. As a young Army medic in Panama, I learned that the only effective way to remove black-palm thorns from impaled soldiers, was by using the sharp point of these #11 blades. The #11 blade easily grabs ahold of the thorn and allows for easy extraction without splintering the thorn. I recommend a pack of these great blades along with a scalpel handle to mount them as needed.

Sharp blades, quality metal

This is amazing for getting rid of peach fuzz! Very sharp! I recommend getting handle #3 otherwise these little blades would be useless for this purpose. Definitely watch YouTube videos and be very cautious before starting. Worth every penny.

They aren't sterile and seem not as tough as previous scalpel blades I've bought, but are very sharp upon opening. I just feel that my older ones (another make) held an edge longer.

These are sharper, sharper than hobby knife blades. And they stay sharp longer. I use them in a scalpel handle, which I prefer to the round handled hobby knives.
