range of the pedal
The pedal is a monster. Large in size which is what I like. Built to last fovever. switches on with a loud like but does not come through the amp. optical is smooth and clean with no interference. Only down side is that most of the wah range is from half way to toe down. Half way to heel down does little to nothing. But still has a good wah sound once you get comfortable with the short range.

Nice sound, better than the crybaby
Nice sound, better than the crybaby. I bought it to replace my Bad Horsie switchless model, which I loved until the optical sensor stopped working and making a ton of noise. So far the classic wah sounds just about the same without the switchless feature.. But I like the on/off button on the side better than under the toe like the a cry-baby or a Vox. Morley though of every thing when making this pedal.

A lotta bang for the buck
The online selection is far better than the guitar center and they have the brand I wanted. The price is good and it performs better than I hoped.

Takes a little getting used to, but once you do...the crybaby will become the backup wah.
I honestly give this a 4 1/2 rating but amazon doesn't let u do half ratings. With that said I'll get into the plus sides of this pedal. This thing is SOLID! I mean solid like you could drop this on someones head and knock them out...seems well constructed and can take a beating. Now I am used to the generic wah wah as in the old go to cry baby. Now this (Morley) doesn't provide your standard porn soundtrack wah tones. Its really fine tuned in whatever position and cuts to the heart of what you want to hear. I find it to be extremely useful in recording situations.my main highlight to the Morley is its extended frequency range as opposed to the crybaby, it really shines in the high register but does tend to get undefined in the heel position. This and the fact this pedal takes a bit to learn are the only flaws. You need to play around and experiment to really find the hot spots. Not that that's an issue but for some it could be a turn off. If your a crybaby user the seperate switch buisness can also take a bit to get used to. All in all experimentation and different designs aside this pedal is more than worth it I'm tone and construction. The second you get a bum pot in a Dunlop style wah you'll wish u bought one of these!

rock solid performance
I bought mine several years ago and mainly use it in recording- it has never let me down. Ever. Very well made and excellent sound and responsiveness. If you're looking for a wah pedal, this is a great one. There are so many signal processors out there that depend too much on technology for their sound, while this old school standard is so basic that it allows your musicianship to come through.I advise not to fall for the wah pedal attached to a multi-function board/effects- I have had several digital units that became useless through use on stage and now simply use this pedal in conjunction with my other gear.Long after all the other hi-tech gear has hit the landfill, you'll still be able to jam with this.
