Nature's Way Sambucus Immune Elderberry Syrup with Vitamin C, Zinc, 4 Fl Oz

Elderberry products are a staple in our household, and we use them every day. My husband prefers gummies because they're easy to grab on the go, but the kids do better with the syrup, and I like the syrup too. Nature's Way Sambucus tastes delicious, so keeping up with it is easy. The reason we keep coming back to it is simple: it seems to work well for our family. I've noticed that the kids seem to stay healthier when we're consistent with our elderberry routine. That's especially meaningful to me during the winter, when they're back in school and it feels like there's always another cold or flu going around. As a mom, finding something the kids willingly take and that I've had a positive experience with means a lot. I appreciate the long tradition of using elderberry in wellness routines, and I also like the vitamin C and zinc in this formula. Both support normal immune function, and vitamin C provides antioxidant support as well. This version includes echinacea and propolis alongside the elderberry extract. Those ingredients are part of the appeal, but our own experience is what keeps this on our shelf. It's a pleasant-tasting, convenient part of how I care for my family, and something we're happy to keep using. Easy five stars.

I love this product but be aware that amazon buys close dated products sometimes. I ordered this in June and it expires in 2 mos- was hoping expiration date would be at least 1 year

I work with the general public and am often exposed to many people throughout the course of the week. I used this product throughout the cold and flu season this year, and although I was directly exposed to several people with flu or severe colds, I have only had a case of the sniffles. I have tried multiple brands of elderberry syrups, but this by far has the least offensive taste. This syrup is not quite as tick as other brands, which makes it easier to swallow. I feel the quality is excellent for the price point. I also like the addition of zinc and vitamin c in the ingredients for additional immune support. Highly recommend.

Now, here’s what I don’t love: don’t take it on an empty stomach—I learned that the hard way, and it didn’t feel great! I bought this after I was really sick and heard that elderberry promotes immunity and working in a daycare. I definitely needed that. I liked it in the beginning and it did work but lately when I’ve been doing it, it makes me super nauseous even to the point of making me throw up.

This cold/flu season has seemed really scary, so I started researching some preventatives and remedies. Elderberry syrup was mentioned in a lot of the research I had read. About a week after receiving this product my entire family started coming down with the sniffles. This time of year, if we start with these symptoms, one of us inevitably develops a sinus infection, bronchitis, or worse - pneumonia. I immediately brought out the Elderberry syrup to give it a try! I was surprised that it tasted pretty good, however, there is a slight after taste. We all took two teaspoons in the morning, afternoon and before bed. So, I obviously can not say 100% that this product did the trick, but we all felt better within two days. The cold never progressed into anything else other than some minor sneezing and stuffiness. Will definitely be stocking up on some more.

Great Product

After I finished my master's degree, I lost my voice and got bronchitis. No matter what I did or what I took, I could not get well. Even after the bronchitis was 'technically' gone, I was still minus a voice. After three months of feeling under-the-weather, a friend recommended taking something for my immune system. After working full time and going to school for two years, my friend surmised that my immune system was gone. When I went to the local health food store, they suggested Nature's Way Sambucus Immune Syrup. It was $30 a bottle but I figured, 'What do I have to lose?' I began talking the syrup three times a day and by the third day my voice was back and the tightness in my chest was gone. Since the incident I always keep this product on my shelf, and if I start feeling unwell I begin taking it immediately. In most cases, the syrup prevents the cold from truly forming. Needless to say, I recommend this product to all my friends-especially if they have difficulty kicking a cold-and the results are consistent. I even recommended this product to a friend who simultaneously developed H1N1 and pneumonia, got well, and a few weeks later had a repeat performance of pneumonia. Within a few days of taking the product, she felt 100% better. I can't recommend this product enough!

I like that it is in liquid form and very good for my elderly dad with dysphagia and can't swallow pills.

The item tasted Very different from the usual product I bought from iherbs. Very diluted. May not be authentic. Do not buy. Sent a message to seller for return and there was no reply.
