Kitty Hoots Catfisher Whipper Snapper Toy Wand

Our older cat who is usually hard to interest in most toys has always enjoyed this toy a lot...but our new kitten is so taken with it I have just had to ordered another one. She is now dragging it all around the house and it keeps her amused for hours with and without our involvement.The wire makes the butterfly on the end whip around unpredictably and the button, while not that effective, does allow the wire to jiggle slightly when pushed.Great for playing with energetic cats

MY SIX YEAR OLD SPOILED GIRL HAS A FAVORITE TOY--THE CATFISHER WHIPPER SNAPPER TOY WAND. TO DATE, I HAVE PURCHASED SIX OF THE SNAPPERS. SHE PULLS THEM ACROSS THE CERAMIC TILED KITCHEN FLOOR EVERY NIGHT AND DOWN TO MY BEDROOM TO PLAY WITH ME. IT IS HER FAVORITE TOY. I LOVE THAT SHE HAS SO MUCH FUN WITH IT.

My cats love this toy, think it’s beduase it’s more unpredictable than a normal wand. Winner :)

This is a very "fun" toy for my cat - seems to be well made (he hasn't managed to break it). But, as another reviewer said - what is the button on the handle for. The toy doesn't contain any batteries. I actually called the manufacturer and they had no idea what the button did either - lol So, guess it's not of great importance in the working of the toy. I would recommend this toy, my cat really likes it.

When I got mine, the button did not work - If there's a battery inside, it's probably dead. The cats love playing with it (just swinging it around). It's cheaper than other wands, so I'm giving it 3 stars.

I've tried the $0.99 versions of this item, and they simply don't hold up. My kittens delighted as much in chewing through the elastic rope of most toys as they did in getting after whatever was at the end. The fact that this is made with wire is a huge plus. I was a bit wary, as I thought it might upset or hurt them to bite the wire, but they do not seem affected in the least. This toy will easily last 6x as long as those made with an elastic cord, and possibly forever. I'm pretty sure that the toy at the end can be replaced with a bit of finagling, as it's attached with a small loop of sturdy cord.I agree that the button on the rod seems purposeless. You can just shake the rod to make the toy bounce; in fact, it's hard *not* to make it bounce. Still, I can easily award this product 4 stars for its durability alone.

I bought this same item at Centinela Pet & Feed. It is poorly designed and poorly manufactured. The button which is supposed to "whip" the wand does not work and instead makes noise that distracts the cat from the toy that is dangling from the wand. The makers of this toy claim to have researched what cats like. Too bad they paid no attention to manufacturing the toy.

I bought this for my Bengal cat thinking it would be a variation of "daBird" which he loves but destroys way too fast. My Catfisher was either broken on arrival or the button on it is useless, pressing it does nothing other than sink the button into its plastic casing. This product needs to be reworked as the handle is awkward to hold amongst other things, discontinuation of this product will probably come before then.Save your money and avoid this supposed cat toy you could most likely make yourself.

I thought my kitty would like this as he loves anything that flies ( or looks like it flies) but this isnt one of those things. Also a little confusing as to what the botton on the handle actually does.....If you want your kitty to be entertained, choose something else.
