We live in a wooded area and always mist this on clothes & exposed skin before going outside in the yard/garden. The “tickshield” is the same as their basic line, just with a higher concentration of cedar oil. Smells nice like cedar. It can feel a little oily on the skin at first but absorbs after a while. It does a decent job thwarting most bugs as long as you keep reapplying it (black flies don’t seem to be phased). Anecdotally it does seem to be effective against ticks - we haven’t gotten any ticks on us while wearing it, but a worker who was in our yard for just a few minutes without any bug spray pulled two ticks off of himself. The bottle arrived with a screw cap on and the sprayer separate, inside a zip lock type bag, but it did leak a little - thankfully not too much. Would have been nice if the screw cap was sealed with plastic to prevent leaking.

smells earthy and works great. i didn’t use it one day on the farm and found a tick on me. every time i use it i haven’t found a single tick. incredible

We have two Australian Shepherds & live in a rural mountain area with lots of trees. I spray this on them every 3-4 days during warm weather. We also use it on ourselves when outside & all I can say is, it works extremely well. Our dogs are tick & flea free & they are not on any oral meds or topical chemical treatment for flea/tick prevention. We use cedar chips in our fenced dog area & between this Cedarcide spray & the cedar chips in yard, neither of them have had one tick or flea. It also repels mosquitoes very well. Highly recommend!

Early spring i was getting a couple ticks on me each time i went hiking in the woods. It was getting to be annoying, at best; Frustrating and concerning at worst. After having a few embedded in me I tried multiple products and nothing really made a difference. After using "Cedarcide Extra- Strength Tickshield " i seem to have much less a problem with ticks. The number of ticks i have on my body each day has definitely decreased. A mixture of Cedar and Lemon grass definitely seems to help keep the ticks at bay. And the smell of both the cedar and lemongrass s a pleasant smell. A note to the wise. Some people can be allergic to cedar, so do spot spraying at first to be sure it does not bother you. I actually love the smell, and I hope it keeps all the pest away, like ticks, fleas, etc.

The peace of mind this gave me was incredible. Yes it has a strong smell, and it is poisonous for cats and dogs, just keep the top screwed on tight. Don't let it leak on the floor as we did as the top somehow unscrewed itself, thank goodness we discovered it and cleared it up before the Pug discovered it. For what it does I believe it's worth every penny!

If you love cedar then the smell is great! Scent lasts all day and even through washes. My son ended up with Alpha Gal so we spray this on his clothing for hikes, and it seems to work! We other precautions too so can’t say whether it is a 100% preventative.

This does not kill ticks! Much less repell them! I live in the country and I have bird dogs. This claims to repell and kill ticks. Nope that's not the case it kill fleas.. pisses off your dog and leaves the ticks thriving.

I have heard stories about king tick lil ticky. I was going into his kingdom on my camping trip I looked on the interweb. After searching i came across this product. THIS PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD I DIDN’T SEE A SINGLE TICK OR BUG ON ME OR NEAR ME THIS PRODUCT GOOD 👍
