Not the best Darjeeling, but at this price it cannot be bettered. To get the very best Darjeeling will cost you twice this much. This is, in our opinion, is an excellent every day tea.

A delicate flavour and so fresh, a quality first flush Darjeeling. But don't be surprised by the packaging when it comes, it will have the label Black spring tea, not First flush which made me hesitate to open it. I am definitely sticking with this tea it is perfect without milk and a joy to drink.

I again purchased the company's first flush Darjeeling which I had previously enjoyed from my initial purchase two years ago. Whether it was a bad batch I cant tell but the tea did not look the same. It was mostly green, not black and had an unpleasant taste like it had been contaminated with another product. It simply didn't look the same as last time indicating a quality control issue. I contacted the company and had a quick response sending them the details requested. They offered to send another packet but I declined. Really online shopping has just become a lottery, even a repeat purchase from a previously trusted brand. There is just no way of knowing what you will get. Who knows, but it has put me off buying tea online as I am sure purchasing it this way leaves you open to getting an inferior product. I threw it out due to the unpleasant taste and wont buy from this company again. Having paid a premium price for a product I feel there is a breach of trust when you receive an inferior product. I've also become more cynical about the background story presented by companies like this. Creating some romantic narrative about a family heritage with slick marketing almost always ends up as just another marketing twist to extract higher prices.

I was not sure when I order this tea but this is a very nice, light flavour and in general good quality tea. Very pleased with my purchase.

Having bought and enjoyed quite a few teas from Vahdam, I bought this one for the better value as a larger lot. I know teas are a natural product and vary year on year, but this one barely registers on the flavour scale, despite trying a range of tea amounts and brewing temperatures over the last few weeks. I'll finish it because I paid for it, but I won't be looking forward to a cup in the same way as I do their Assam Summer FTGFOP1 454g June 2020 that I bought before this one.

This tea gives a feeling of something coming straight from a fairytale. I was thinking having such a great tea I don’t need a coffee any more.

Makes a wonderfull refreshing cup of tea

It is a bit expensive but worth it. It really tastes like Darjeeling.

We love this tea! For the flavor, for the company's ideals of keeping the packaging close to the tea plantations, for their treatment of the workers. As well as for the clever way of vacuum-packing the loose tea in a block inside a box. In fact, we have a subscription order with Amazon. Here is where my caveat comes in. Recently, Amazon's packing together of multiple items (an admirable ideal!) has become less than well-thought out. A heavy item (ex: liquid detergent) loose in a box with small items and a box of Vahdam's tea with only a strip of paper, but no where enough, to stand up to shipment. Twice the Vahdam box arrived broken (fortunately the tea package was okay); one shipment got only part-way to us before being sent back by the shipper - twice - because of breakage.

This is the second time I ordered this black tea. Loved the aroma and flavor of this 1st flush. A morning cup of this tea is so refreshing. Highly recommended to all Darjeeling black tea lovers.
