Excellent Saffron !!
The best value for your money

A genuine quality product.
The only way to buy saffron. Grocery store wants $15 for 0.01 oz! Maybe I should repackage and resell. Would last years except that I give half of it away to sibs and my kids. Downside - best with white rice to get the yellowing effect. I do not care for white rice but really like saffron aroma and flavor. Life goes on ... a kernel at a time.

A good purchase.
There is a good amount of saffron in this (1 oz). It is not super pungent, and the stamens are broken, but it is definitely saffron. For cooking, it's a great buy. Recommended.

Not the best
Eh, it has a decent flavor but it's nowhere close to the best. The strands are long and a bit less dehydrated than most. It passes the authenticity test and is a good value, however. The aroma is also pretty good.

What a deal!
This is the one to get. Makes cooking with this spice less of a budget concern and allows you to really experiment with the flavor. Most people I know have never used Saffron because of the cost. Great in rice, seafood and chicken. After visiting Spain and being served wonderful dishes,I knewthat I had to start using this spice. When I paid $5 for a tiny pinch I started searching for what I'd seen in the markets. I was shocked at the amount when I opened the tin. we laughed at the amount.unless you own a restaurant, you will probably want to divide and share.enough for 6 or 8 cooks and what a great gift for anyone who loves the kitchen. They will think that you spent a fortune.

Full threads, economical
For the price and volume this is a great deal… I use a lot of saffron and it seems to be full strength flavored threads.
