The text beyond the line is the review from a different reviewer named Mark from June 21, 2022. I literally screenshot his review so I could repair my own 1,200 gallon vinyl pool. I had only one tiny hole spurting water on the seam of the side and the bottom. I couldn’t find the patch that came with the pool, so I was hoping for some sort of solution. So far, after one week, so good! I will add, be conscious about where you set the tape roll when not in use. It is so sticky that you’ll ruin any paper or susceptible materials with the adhesion of the side of the tape. ______________________________________________ Okay, so this is Gorilla Tape. Gorilla tape works, we all know this. But what about underwater? So my brand spanking new vinyl liner pool decides to spring not one, not two, but three leaks on its first fill up. 3000 gallons of water to fill this thing up, I wasn't going to empty it! I live in a desert, I felt guilty enough filling it up, emptying it out to fix a hole and then refilling, no way. So I researched a ton of different patches and came across this product here on Amazon. The reviews were weird. Yes, I read them just like you are doing now. Some say it didn't stick at all? Another says it comes off the roll really loose. Here is the scoop - there is an error on the directions for this tape. So, let's do two things here together - One, know you are not wasting your time, get this product. Right now, don't waste time! Two, read below on a couple of important but easy steps on using it. 1) The directions tell you to cut off the piece you want and then round the corners. Here is something important: Do NOT - guys, read that again - do NOT - use your wife's good scissors or the ones in your knife rack. Don't do it guys. The residue left behind was like crazy glue. It sticks! Your best bet is using a decent pair of scissors and making your cuts in one smooth motion. This will prevent goo from getting on your scissors. 2) AFTER cutting, get to where you need to place the tape and then REMOVE the transparent liner over the sticky part of the tape. The directions never tell you to remove this liner! Well, to those people with the negative reviews, they didn't remove the liner. Once you remove it, watch out - it is sticky as can be! Try not to touch the sticky part!! We took the tape, sticky exposed, went underwater, and stuck that bad boy right where the pool was leaking. Pressed all the air out, pressed down on the edges, then just stood on it for a few minutes. Did this for all three holes and not one has leaked again. Okay, so it isn't as pretty as some of the other patches, it is a big black piece of tape. But it works and works fast and it is easy. Buy with confidence.

Knocked one star off for the price, as it only comes with 10 feet (not ideal if have large hole). Other than that, extremely good quality and a necessity to have in the house. Would be perfect for any leak, especially good to have in case of an emergency with the roof. Easy to use, strong, waterproof and sling lasting stick.

I have purchased this before from Walmart who no longer seems to carry it. If you need to seal something up, this stuff is awesome. Be sure you have it where you want it because it's pretty tough to take off. It certainly seals whatever you need to.

This waterproof patch & seal tape is awesome! Had a pup bite through my $80 hose and the tape worked perfect. Kids ripped our blow up water slide/bounce house and the tape worked awesome! My barrel fountain cracked in the bottom round corner over the winter and the tape worked awesome! I’m impressed with how well it works on everything. Now it may not look pretty but I’ll replace the hose next year when pup is older and the kids have almost outgrown the blow up so works great for me! Definitely worth having on hand at all times for so many scenarios!!

I think this product is great BUT you need to know what you are getting. First off I am used to tapes that are strong but I was not prepared for this thick and a peel off backing. It was some work for me to do my project which was sealing up the gutter and drain pipes of the house. I figure it will last forever with how thick it is and very sticky. It's plain black and looks good. I found it hard to work with but I have arthritic hands and I'm challenged with simple house projects. :-)

There used to be a different tape made by this company that was fairly thin but worked much better that I cannot find anymore so I got this instead. This product was overall pretty mediocre as far as doing what it says it does. I tried it on a water pipe that had cracked during the winter and it did slow the leak but did not stop it. It was still enough of a leak that the pipe just had to be replaced. When I tried on an airbed type inflatable it worked okay, as in I had to refill the air only daily but it was still useable despite the leak. There was flocking on the airbed I had to get rid of first for it to work. A couple pointers if this is your intended use: 1. Make sure the piece you are using overlaps the leak by at least an inch in every direction. Kind of common sense but I had only about a half inch the first try and it was not working once any weight was applied to mattress. 2. Make sure item is completely empty of all air and repair area lays good and flat. Use something bigger than the repair area that is smooth and flat both under and as a weight on top of repair. After you place the tape put a heavy weight on top to help apply pressure and seat the tape. Doesn’t work well with just hand pressure, I had to leave the weight on for a few hours before it was stuck down well enough. The adhesive isn’t great but works okay after the time left sitting weighted down. Still peels off easier than I’d like no matter how long it is on there. I might try to seal edges of the tape with some kind of glue to improve performance but really shouldn’t have to if manufacturer description is correct. Overall I’m disappointed in this product, it just doesn’t seem to be what they claim in my opinion. Of course real world application and use in a lab setting where originally tested will not be the same as with anything. Fine for use in a pinch. I’m keeping in emergency toolbox as it does have some useful qualities.

I have used this tape to seal out water and seal in moldy caulking around a tub and it sealed WONDERFULLY. but BEWARE: it's not coming off EVER so lay it down right the first time. You may get a little residual gummy adhesive along the edges, which I never was able to clean off. So I tried to use it to fix a slow leak in an air mattress from a defect this time and it didn't do the job. Maybe the mattress has a second hole/defect or the flocking on top prevented it from fully adhering.

This stuff works great. I have used it to waterproof truck windows, seal fabric on my ice tent and stop leaks on my aluminum boat. Once on- it is good on all weather. I have purchased over a dozen rolls- best stuff. Once on- it stays put.

Rubbish. Not working under water nor outside water when try to patch a leak on the above water Bestway pool. Lots money list R375😡😡😡😡😡
