FLIFLI AIRDROP FAD-1000GT Release and Drop Device for DJI Phantom 4 Pro Advanced Pro V2.0

I am new to piloting a drone, especially an expensive phantom 4 pro v2.0. I bought this dropping add-on for school projects such as dropping student egg containers from several heights. I found it best to attach the egg container to a 2 meter long string as not to interfer with the air from thr props and then tie the string to a keyring that the release bar goes through. At about 300 grams of weight the bar wouldn't fully open. I tested different rings but same result. I ended up spraying the release bar with a bit of silicon lubricant and now it fully opens with a load of 600 grams which is well above the weight I needed. (In fact I only needed 200 grams but just wanted to find the upper limit.)In terms of connectivity and syncing, it was super easy. The range is great but haven't tested its limits. The physical connection to the drone is secure. The battery lasts as advertised and it turns on with the same method as the dji drone. It was styled to make it look just like the dji drone too which is a huge plus for style. I am happy with the performance and look to do many happy drops.

This connects to the landing gear on my Phantom 4. I use it to drop fishing line with weights over trees for ham radio antenna purposes. You can use it to drop eggs on your neighbors too. Just be sure that its charged before every use. Sometimes I have to push the button twice. Overall you won't be disappointed at least I'm not.

I had bought this item before, and it quit three minutes of testing. I returned this item and thought that was the end of it. Due to the way water effects radio waves I advise that you limit the distance to 300 feet with a minimum of teen feet over the water.

The product came in and worked for a bit and one day just stopped working both remote and box are on but won't do anything.

My first flight was over my yard at 100 feet and the release worked perfectly. 2nd flight i flew from my house to my daughter's house 3/4 of a mile and dropped a tennis ball in her yard from 400'. Time to buy water balloons!

I flew two test flights with this on my Phantom 4 today. The first flight was with an 8 ounce bottle of water. The P4 stability was awkward, but acceptable. So I tried it a 16 ounce bottle. As soon as I got to altitude, the bottle started swaying severely in the drone prop wash. I was not able to control the drone and I didn't want to release the bottle of water because I too close to a residential neighborhood. The drone was swaying violently and I pointed the camera straight down. When I was over a safe area, I commanded the drone to land. It was a hard landing and resulted in minor damage to my drone, it is still flyable. Lessons learned: On a Phantom 4 don't try to fly with more than about 8 ounces. Second, try to keep the payload as close to the drone as possible so it doesn't sway too much in the prop down wash. This device is not very well-designed because it does not mount directly under the drone center-of-gravity which results in excessive oscillation or sway.

I paid full price on arrival had to charge it not a issue it worked once I installed it nice secure setup the range was good and a lot I can imagine one can do with this like drop water or soda off to someone or anything else a wallet whatever I need to deliver up to a half a pound or so
