For anyone trying to give up sugar - Try sticking with this!
So, I came across Puresweet a few years ago when it was on Dragon's Den - I've always been a one or two sugars in my coffee/tea person, and all of my attempts to ween off of sugar had failed, sweeteners are often not that nice but even when they are, they generally have nasty ingredients in them. So, when I saw a natural-based product, with no bad ingredients, zero calories, etc, I had to give it a try.Like all sugar-replacements, no it's not exactly the same. Nothing is - but, I stuck with Puresweet due to the make up of it, and what can I say - I've had it on Amazon subscription for years now and if I have a normal sugar in tea or coffee, I actually find it too much and now prefer the Puresweet. It's not bad for your teeth, it's not bad for your insides, and once you've got used to taste (which is the case for any sugar alternative, you have to accept a change in taste) it's not bad for your tastebuds either!Thoroughly, thoroughly recommend this and giving it a go beyond just a few cups of tea/coffee.

Sweet replacement
Fabulous product that is as near to sugar taste that you will get but more healthier. If the price could be a bit lower it would be perfect

Does what it says on the packet!
Saw this product on dragons den and did my own research before purchasing. Doesn’t appear to have any adverse health effects like aspartame based sweeteners from what I’ve read and doesn’t have the distinctive taste of Stevia, which is what I’ve been using til now while low carb. I need to use 3 tsps to achieve the same sweetness as my 1.5 heaped tsps of sugar in my tea but it tastes exactly the same and no aftertaste. I have found though that there is a very minor aftertaste that gets stuck in your throat if you use it in very large amounts as part of a recipe. Used 250 grams in a chocolate milkshake recipe in 2.5 pints of milk and it does have a very subtle after taste but it’s not offensive at all. Definitely the best sweetener I’ve tried and will be purchasing again. Only issue I see is that there is a competitor product on Amazon that is cheaper per kilo which is just sold as Erythritol and had I not seen the impressive pitch on dragons den, I may have opted for that one.

One of the best but still not the same as sugar
I wanted to respond to some of the claims made by other reviews. I've tried every sweetener out there and opted for this one having seen the pitch on Dragons' Den, based on this I liked the sound of it from a health perspective. My summary is:1. It doesn't taste like sugar2. It does have an aftertaste3. You need at least twice as much of this as you would normally have sugar, this makes it very expensive4. The pack it's in is irritating, it was suggested on the show that they switch to a jar so I don't know why they haven't done so (a glass jar would still be recyclable and easier to use and store)Overall, the best I've tried but quite expensive and still not as good as it needs to be to convincingly replace sugar. Let's hope for an improved (can't really use the word 'refined') version 2...

Does what it says on the tin
Well I can’t rate it high enough, there is definitely no aftertaste. All the other sweeteners say no aftertaste but it’s rubbish the all taste vile, This one however is true to its word, it’s not the sweetest tasting but it’s great in a cuppa instead of sugar, you just need to put a bit extra in. A little bit more expensive than other sweetners but I think it’s worth definitely worth the money!

Warning, can cause extreme laxative effects, and not as natural as claimed
Like others, was this on Dragons Den, thought it might be too good to be true... Sadly that is the case. While it has a less bitter aftertaste than other sweeteners, it does have a wierd cooling effect in your mouth, a bit like a mint. However the biggest issue is that this can have an extreme laxative effect. I used this as an alternative to sugar to sweeten a packet of Kool Aid. However I was then imprisoned for 48 hours with liquid diarrhoea bowel movements- over six times an hour. Xylitol has a similar effect (you find this in some sugar free mints)There is s warning on the packet, I suppose a spoonful in tea or coffee would be ok, but it certainly shouldn't be used to sweeten a litre of squash.Additionally, the term "natural" is very misleading. While Erythritol is "naturally" found in some fruits as described, it is in minute quantities, so this product is derived from corn, in a process which is NOT natural and therefore this product is chemically derived. So the search for a decent low calorie sweetener is not over, extreme diarrhoea is too high a price to pay!!

Still a mild after taste but better than most
I was really hoping this would be a good alternative to sugar but there is an after taste which to be fair isn’t as bad as some sugar substitutes. You have to use twice the amount as you would for sugar and for the price it’s not worth it for the price. Would probably work in cakes though.
