anybody put this on 30 gallon steel buckets? the galvanized ones for storing animal food and such?

Is the flange at the base a standard size with a standard bolt pattern? If not, could I get the ID and OD dimensions?

Sorry I was slow to get back to you, been out of town. It is a 6 bolt configuration. Bolts I used were 5/16". From bolt to bolt is about 2 1/8". Straight across from outer bolt to outer bolt is 4 1/4". Inside diameter of Cyclone is 3" opening. Whether this is a standard flange I really don't know. You might check standard flange sizes somewhere on internet. Hope this helps.

Will this work for wet pickup?  Will it separate water from the airflow using a high-flow (approximately 210 CFM) shop vac?

Yes, water spray is denser than air material, and ANY such material will get separated in a vortex collector. You can put a special foam filter on your shop vacuum interior - the companies make these for wet pickup. This prevents crap from getting into motor intake. If you look at inlet port up inside where the interior of the shop vacuum filter covers, you can clean out leaves and debris there with a screw driver. But much better to not let it get in there at all, since the motor is not made to disassemble and clean. (It should be.)

What is the size of the entry and exit ports?

For my aplication -a sears 2 1/4 inch vac hose to both ports--go to a hardware in the plumbing and get 2 fernco 1 1/2'' x 2'' rubber adaptor---these measurements are deceiving because pvc pipe that use these fittings is measured from the inside THESE GO OVER THE OUT SIDE OF THE PVC  HENSE THE CORRECT MEASUREMENTS FOR THIS APPLICATION  ----very easy assembly--or return them and try a different size,if yours is different than mine.
