I had to haul my canoe cross country. I used these guys for the front and rear tie-downs. They worked great. Very little wind resistance assured for a quiet ride. I gave them away and immediately bought another set. Gotta Love them!

I've used these straps for a couple years now, and nothing I've found is more convenient for light loads. I've strapped propane bottles, wood trim material, drinking water bottles, light furniture, etc. To keep stuff from sliding around in the bed, these are second to none, in that they're easy and fast to use. I have a host of ratchet straps that I use for heavy loads (bundles of firewood, appliances, heavy furniture). These are great to have on hand for the loads that don't require a ton of weight-bearing potential. I'm not sure why the description mentions "shrapnel," but probably some translation thing. This strap is a must-have when in comes to frequent pickup truck transport.
