Engelhart 6 Boules Petanque in Zipper Bag

Used this on holiday in France and my French participants were very impressed. Not up there with handmade French ones, but close enough for me!

This is a very good basic set of boule, although the black paint comes off after a while.

Great boules kit. Comes in a sturdy fabric carry case and includes measuring string and instructions. The boule are a good weight and quality. The ‘ Jack’ is disappointing though very light and sand coloured.

Very nicely presented in case, these boules feel just the business. They are heavy - proper weight - and they look stunning. They feel good in the hand and they throw nicely. The best bit of all is the sound they make when they strike each other on the ground: it is a fabulous sound similar to that made by ivory snooker balls, or by curling stones. We love these boules anyway, but they are worth the money for the sound alone.

I bought these to get a feel for the game before joining a club. Be aware a club may not let you use these as club insurance won't cover leisure boules. Competition boules must be stamped with manufacturers name, weight and unique batch/code number. These are not.

Silver boules are decent, the black is powder coated and chips off after first use. Wouldn't buy again based on that.
