be quiet! BGW28 Newcomer in the range, Case be quiet! Silent Base 801 Midi-Tower - orange Window Black

Purchased this case a while ago and since I had time to properly test it. There are couple of things that need to be said which I haven't found other reviews. Let's get started.1. Say goodbye to optical drives - there are no docking stations for optical drives (CD,DVD,BLU-RAY)2. If you're installing AIO cooler in the front panel, there is no space for the Hard Drives Bays3. Fan that can be installed at the bottom of the PSU shroud is mutually exclusive with the drive bay (you can't have the fan AND the bay - one or the other)4. Insulating Foam is fairly thick so you have to be careful with the cable management at the back panel in order not to print the cables onto the foam5. Screws and screw holes along with threads are little dodgy (definitely room for improvement) so extra care needs to be taken when manipulating those6. Hard Drive slot covers are only available with the windowed version, meaning if you purchased this version (Non-Window, which you definitely should as the idea of this case is silence while with the windowed version you are loosing over 30% of the insulating foam) the drive bay slots are wide open. You can, however purchase them separately (Around £7 each last time I checked)7. Overall airflow of this case is not the best so hardcore overclockers are better off looking at the competitionI am using stock fans with couple of Silent Wings 3s as well, all connected to the Fan Control that comes with this case and PWM control works fine (Using Z390 Aorus Pro Motherboard) after a tweak in BIOS. Under the Fan Socket to which the Fan Control is connected set Fan Control Mode to PWM otherwise your fans will be at maximum when set to PWM fan control located on the front panel of the case.At regular load the case and 6 fans in it are ALMOST inaudible. I would, however definitely recommend to beef up the dust filtering in the case (provided you are as huge of a dust freak on pc components as I am) as the stock filters are the regular ones you get in every other case - insufficient in keeping fine dust particles out.All in all I am very satisfied with this case. My priorities are ease of maintenance and silence which this case is absolutely brilliant for, if these are the qualities you are looking for, I am happy to recommend be quiet! Silent Base 801 (non-window).

This case does what it says on the tin. It's disconcertingly quiet!!! You might think it's not turned on at all .. of course it comes with some compromises such as not having a cd tray option but the case is sturdy, high quality, easy to get into, clever positioning of hard drive space that maximises airflow and has a fan speed variator, though when you put it on auto it does tend to be more noisy.

Love it, something a little different. Loads of space and some clever storage options built in too, cable management is a doddle, you can use the pop out storage bay covers for this as a bonus too. Its a quiet case as you would expect, fans supplied are quiet, and no issues for me with heat running an aio cooled i7 9700k build. Build quality is top notch for the price, everything fits and works well.

Very well made/built. Keeps most noise at bay. Solid when in place. Easy access if required. Top power button and USB ports a good thought.

Biggest than I tought 😁. But that gave more room and easier to install all the kit. I have 7 be-quite fans installed and it runs quite. When I run games at ultra I can hear the graphs card rev up but that's as loud as it gets. I have 4 SATA disks and during normal desktop and runs cool and quite.

Very quiet, very high quality, VERY heavy

First of all its huge and a little, heavy but they are the only issues.This case is the perfect case for anything you wish to do and I'm confident enough to say that I won't ever need to change it again unless I find something that looks cooler and provides more.

I trashed the front of my CM Storm Trooper, long story. So I bought the Be Quiet 801. There isnt much to say over all. Its a pc case!It looks nice. I like the minimal, clean look of the outside.Ive provided a grainy pic which shows the space inside, best I could do with my old phone.edit 1 : I have noticed in the colder months that this case makes some rather loud creak sounds as the PC warms up. Not the end of the world by far but at first I thought it was a component having issues lol.edit 2 : I have come to the conclusion that this case is not worth the bother if you want to game with it. Yes it dampens the sound and that a very good feature. However, ventilation is a very big issue with this case. You can take the front panel off and that makes a huge difference in temps. So, plenty of air coming in but then you find extraction becomes an even bigger issue. If you put a water cooling rad at the top then forget about good temps as you simply cant get rid of enough air. The ventilation at the top of the PC are mere slits and tiny little holes that run the length of the case that dont allow air out properly, I have tested this with smoke and a lot swirls back into the case.So if you want a case which looks good and is quiet but you dont plan on doing anything intensive which results in heat then this case is for you.

Super user friendly and quiet as quiet.

This my first venture with a beQuiet product as a long time system builder. This not only is well made, it is subtle yet looks great. Sleeper look. Buttons, screws, connecting cables, and parts, all quality. Total room for whatever air or AIO cooler and GPU you choose with. I went with all air cooling and I added two more 140mm beQuiet silent wings 3 fans. So that means I have 5x 140mm fans, and 2x more inside the beQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler. I sound like an ad for them, but I decided to just go deep and try them out, I could always part it out differently later. The i9 cores at near 5GHZ at 100% barely gets above 65C. It is quiet.Now to some of the things you might see online. You can run the front noise cancelling panel on or off, easy with one hand. The dust screens front and bottom are there and look good. It's all about you on what you want. Without the front noise cancelling panel, this system is still quiet. I was surprised. Now if the GPU is starting to spin up I am usually in a game with my 5.1 speakers on, so I don't notice. Otherwise my NAS nearby makes more noise. It's a flexible case, but know this one is sizeable. Lot's of room, but this is certainly full size ATX. With an AIO wet cooler and fans, you can run this thing full on with the front panel on, no worries. You can run it air that way too - depends on what kind of OC you are into.
