Bigger than I thought and justifies its price

This was a good value and worked well. It comes with an instruction sheet explaining what size hole should be used with the diameter of the steel cable you want to swag. This model does not have a wire cutter. The number setting on the dials are printed on the rotatable dials that correspond to the holes and diameter of cable you want to swag. If you forget, the guides are printed on the arms of the tool itself. This tool has decent weight and has a solid feel to it. Mine came with a default dial setting on #1. For my 1/8" steel rope I changed the dial setting to #4. If you use vinyl coated steel rope you must cut off the vinyl coating before swaging your cable, otherwise the vinyl will just compress and you won't get a tight crimp. To change the dial setting mine had 3/8" nylocks, not metric. Flip the tool over and loosen the nylocks and push the dial button out which allows you to rotate the dial to the number setting that corresponds the diameter of steel cable you're using. After you dial in the correct number, push the dial back into place and tighten the nylock back up. The handles have semi-soft grips. If I had my choice of buying this again or another brand I'd still buy this one.

This tool does a great job of crimping aluminum sleeves. the crimps look beautiful, the tool operates smoothly and is built well. Over all it has the feel of a very high quality tool.
