Product Description Our solventborne wood dye is formulated to give excellent lightfastness, grain definition and depth of colour. Suitable for interior applications such as furniture making and restorations, turned pieces, musical instruments and craft items, wood dye gives the wood colour without hiding its grain pattern, enhancing its natural beauty.Easy to apply by sponge, brush, cloth, dip or spray. Additional coats will give extra depth and strength of colour.Available in a wide selection of colours from wood tones through to a rainbow of stunning bright shades. Colours can be mixed to make your own custom shades, or layered up to create combination sunburst effects.This spirit based wood dye can be applied straight onto the bare wood, and is suitable for use on both hardwoods and softwoods. It will not raise the grain when applied, helping to give an even colour across the workpiece. It is recommended that a lacquer, oil or varnish is applied after the dye to protect both it and the wood.Approximate coverage is 8 sq. m per litre of dye dependent on the surface quality, size and orientation of the item being coated. Colour may vary from the image shown due to variations in computer displays. Applied colour can vary based on the colour of wood to which it is being applied.
