Game changer
This is an incredibly easy to use device right out of the box. It will change the way I watch sports TV forever. I recommend it for anyone that has a big screen.

Great as a quad generator, but...
I got this for use as a quad split screen generator, and it works great for that. But that is the only good use case, other than as a simple selector switch, because all of the other multi-view modes are, unfortunately, not useful, apparently a result of someone designing a feature because they can and not because they should. All of the other modes stretch and skew the video from at least some of the sources, distorting the aspect ratio and making the end result unwatchable. But the quad is great, and a good value. It does place a small white border strip between the 4 lanes of the quad, which my other quad generator doesn't, but I think I like it with the border.

Works well
Price is great. I ordered because a previous device failed and needed a quick replacement. This far exceeds my expectations and honesty I like it better than the previous unit we were using that was a much higher price.

Pictures in Error: the MR does not have a VGA port! Otherwise, Good unit.
I have only had this for a few weeks, and I like to use electronics for at least a few months before reviewing, but I will come back and edit if it just glitches out on me.The pictures shown in this listing (as of 02/23/2021) are incorrect, and do not depict the HD-401MR. Half of them are shots of the newer unit, the HD-401MV. The MR does NOT have a VGA output and much simpler and less versatile controls. You can see the model number right on the unit in the pictures, so I bet someone who does not read english characters is to blame. If you expected to get the VGA input, I'd complain to Amazon; I think that legally they have to honor the sale of the product shown in the listing.EDIT: I just noticed that now ALL of the pictures are of the MV (with one VGA output added) unit, none of the MR (HDMI only). The made it worse! I don't know why they'd do this. If you want the MV for the price of the MR, buy from this listing! If they send you an MR, demand an MV because that's what they advertised! They have to honor their advertisement and not simply refund your money. They deserve this for not keeping their house in order.By the time you read this, they may have corrected this issue. (Nope.) If so, I can say that this is a decent unit. I only needed to be able to show four displays on one, and switch to just one display occasionally. It does this perfectly. Two of the inputs are the main screen and an additional monitor for a desktop. I can arrange to displays on the system to match the one-over-the-other configuration I get on the monitor, so I have no issues with moving the mouse between screens.I'm taking off two stars for the pictures of the wrong model in the listing. But I would have taken one star off for the almost worthless other display options that are available. They all change the aspect ratio to fit the area they designed, and who needs two screens in the middle with two tall but ultra-squished frames on either side? I think they could have come up with some better configuration options given the same effort, such as:Picture-in-picture: One input fills the whole monitor in proper aspect ratio, with one input covering one corner, with the ability to chose which corner it covers.Three-on-one-side: Similar to an option they have, but done while maintaining the aspect ratio of the larger image, and the ability to switch the sides that the three monitors are placed.Just some suggestions. Perhaps when this review reaches corporate headquarters they'll contact me for a consult. The big takeaway: maintaining aspect ratio is something customers want.

Good video quality especially in 4-up mode.
I've used other similar units. This one gives me good video in 4-up mode which others haven't. Using the remote control allows easier access to some functions versus using the button on the unit. After using the initial unit for a few weeks I purchased a second for a different purpose to replace a standard HDMI switch.

Excellent device for confidence monitoring of multiple devices on one monitor
WORKS VERY VERY WELL! Inexpensive and displays two PCs and the HDMI output from two media decoders. GREAT for confidence monitoring, where you don't really need a dedicated full sized monitor just to check that you have a feed.

Complete trash-Stay away!!!
I have never had so many issues as I have with this piece of trash. First off it would not display our Nintendo switch, then after going back to old set up guess what! It burned my switch dock out. Went from fully functional screen display to the TV to nothing but a brick. Then when trying to set everything else back up everything is having issues. My ps5 crashed out and my flex tv box crashed. I would not recommend this if it was free. I am beyond mad if I could say what I wanted id be banned from Amazon.
