Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash 8.5 oz

Neutrogena Body Clear body wash cleared up my back acne in just a few weeks. For years I've been fighting the occasional breakout on my back. The incidents were never particularly bad, but every once in a while I would get small clusters of about 5-10 small pimples on my back. In the winter my skin would be dry and they would occur on my shoulders, and in summer they would occur on the sides of my back when I sweat a little. I've been using Persa-Gel 10 on them, and while it helped a little it would take a long time for them to clear up completely. So on a whim I decided to try this body wash and I'm glad I did. The Neutrogena Body Clear got rid of all of my back acne within about three weeks time. My back looks great, and I don't see any new pimples forming. The thing that surprised me most about this body wash is that it does not dry out my sensitive skin at all. In fact, when rinsing it off in the shower, I feel like my skin gets softer. The body wash has a very slight fragrance, which to me smells like baby shampoo. The bottle is smaller than regular body wash, but a little bit goes a long way, and lathers up very nicely. I apply it with a plastic mesh sponge poof. All in all... I'm very happy I gave it a try; it was just what I needed for my mild back acne.

I’ve been reading a lot that Salicylic Acid works really well for KP (Strawberry legs). So far nothing has helped me out with it. This soap prevents acne on your body but it is a wonderful treatment for KP. A lot of the “treatments” are really really expensive for the average consumer but this will do you wonders with some time as well. To get a really close shave use a mens razor with sensitive shaving cream and then go in with the BIC disposable razors (if you know how to use it without getting cut), then exfoliate (optional) and then get a loofa or a washcloth and lather this on your problem areas. After you’re done with the shower, use pure shea butter. You will see such improvements. This is the only thing that worked for me and you can’t just get rid of KP but it helps reduce it. I use African soap and then this body soap every other day but yes, I love this. I will get the 3 pack next. Amazing!!!

Using this and the body spray. Consider this a review of both together. These worked well for me so far. I've been using them for about a week now and I can definitely see a difference. I suggest you buy the body spray in a pack of 3 as it you use it quickly if it's your entire torso like me. I've had body acne (torso, shoulders, arms, back) ever since puberty. These products definitely help.

Background: I have gone through multiple anti-acne OTC (over the counter) and prescription treatments: including most washes (salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide), pads (ex. Stridex), on the spot treatments, the Proactive system, the Zeno device, Differin (adapalene gel), Tazorac Cream (tazarotene - a retinoid), medical facials & peels, and the big gun - Accutane (isotretinoin). Nowadays I'm happy to say my acne is no longer a major issue. I attribute this to years of research, trial and error with my skin type, many $$$ at the dermatologist, and the drug Accutane (knowing what I do now about the drug I DO NOT recommend it unless you have no other choice or are going in to the modelling business). I have been using Neutrogena's Body Clear - Body Wash for at least 4 or 5 years now. This is the best long-term/maintenance OTC salycilic wash I have found in my 10 years of acne-combat experience. The only wash that I liked better was purchased from my dermatologist's office and that was $30 for a bottle 2/3rds this size. Where to begin? This product works. It's not a cure for acne - nothing is. But it does something that is the most important step in your battle with acne: helps prevent it. Once your acne has formed, it can take a week or longer for it to heal. Preventing it from forming means it never reaches the stage where it becomes noticeable, bothersome and painful. Tips: - Don't buy acne face washes unless this product is too strong (see below), they're exactly the same thing as this except in a smaller, more expensive bottle. - If you find this is drying your skin, use less and leave it on your skin for less time. - Use in the shower while your pores are open. - Always pat-dry your face. - Always follow with Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture, Sensitive Skin, 4 Ounce or similar. There are multiple moisturizers in that line to suite your skin type: sensitive, combination, sun-protection - etc. - Do not wash more than twice per day (with any acne products). It will upset your skin's pH balance and will likely do more harm than good.

This is a great wash for acne. It has 2% Salicylic acid which, for me, works the best of all the acne treatments out there. However, it can cause redness and dryness in some people, so it's best to not use it daily until you determine if you're sensitive to Salicylic acid. Although it's marketed as a body wash, it has the same concentration of Salicylic acid (2%) as the facial wash. Depending on what the price is, it can be a better value (less costly per ounce) than the facial wash. It has a pleasant, 'soapy' smell rather than a perfumy scent. The soap itself is thick, so you don't need to use much. While the generic and store brands can be cheaper, they are usually thinner, and you end up using more. This bottle lasts quite a long time for me.

I've had acne for what seems like forever, so usually I try over-the-counter anti-acne products without any excitement or even hope, since none of them have provided me with any lasting cures or relief. So enter Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash, to completely blow away my preconceptions. I bought it from amazon and started using it daily every morning when I shower, and within about a week, there was a noticeable difference. Another week passed, and the difference became even more pronounced. I've been using it less than a month so far, and not all the acne on my back has had time to disappear, but there is continuous weekly improvement, and I owe it all to this product. If you also suffer from acne anywhere on your body, this is the only treatment I would recommend for it. Just be forewarned, the bottle is fairly small, so this stuff gets used up fast. Except to go through one about every month. But on the bright side, amazon offers these for an excellent price. I checked a nearby Rite Aid just earlier today, and the price was almost 50% higher there.

Its been working. I let it sit for a bit to maximize effect. Only thing is it doesn’t foam up unless you use lots of it, which means this can empty quite quickly. I think it’s a little expensive given that context. On another note. The scent is neutral, it’s definitely not drying WHATSOEVER, the texture doesn’t foam easy because it’s very smooth feeling (that’s why it’s not drying. Foaming usually equals drying). I recommend this and will continue to buy (hopefully not too often. I’m going to try rationing this 😂)

This is a very nice Body Wash. I will add to this review after I have used it for awhile to let you know if it helps to keep Acne under control. I have been recently using Neutrogena’s Rapid Clear Treatment Pads with Salicylic Acid & have noticed a HUGE improvement on my facial T zone. The Body Wash has the same main ingredient so I’m hoping for good results with this product on my back. The Body wash has a very pleasing scent to it that isn’t overpowering at all. I’ve always had to stay away from scented products & have never been able to wear perfumes as the scent would turn on me & smell awful. Not the case with this product. If it gets rid of the blackheads on my back, I will be THRILLED!

i think it’s good

Was exciting about this product for my skin, been using for two months now and don’t really see a difference unfortunately but my skin is just a difficult skin type. Nice soap though, would buy again and results arrive.

Bought this to rid myself of back and shoulder acne but it has not done its magic yet. May be patience is key here or this simply is a body wash.

I bought this to treat a breakout of back acne and this worked great in fact it’s the only thing that worked. I would definitely recommend this product and would purchase it again if required. Scent and value for money is neutral neither good or bad.

No difference after using the product for more than 3 months. Used it everyday twice. The acne issues still persist and there is no changes.
