Nice little external speaker, clean clear sound on my CB radio!

I read through the reviews and there is a ton of people talking about how this is low volume, sounds awful, etc. I had to laugh when one guy hooked up to his TV and said the sound quality was crappy.PEOPLE: This is a speaker designed for the amplified output of a two way radio, such as an amateur radio. You can't feed with a mic level signal from a TV or a computer sound output without low volume output. The frequency response is designed for a specific set of frequencies that are used in voice FM modulation.For what it is designed to do, it works BEAUTIFULLY. I hooked up to my Kenwood TM-D710GA and it sounds as good or better than the $70 Kenwood OEM speaker that looks and works just like this. In fact, if you silk screened "Kenwood" on the speaker you couldn't tell the difference between them. I cranked it up to full volume, and while it was way too loud for my comfort, it didn't distort or clip.Very happy with the quality and cost.

Expected quality for being so inexpensive. I ordered two; one worked fine and the other had a slight rattle which required some tinkering so fix. I have one connected to my Alinco DX-SR8 and the other to my Bearcat 980SSB, both base stations, and it's a definite improvement in sound. These speakers are not good for music reproduction, naturally, but at tuned well enough to bring out vocals. They also get pretty loud in my radio room. The small footprint lets them sit nicely on top of my radios and with a bit of blue painters tape rolled up on their bottom, they don't slide around. If you need a cheap speaker so you can hear better, I recommend these.

This speaker is so much better than the built in scanner speaker. Much better volume and it's super clear! People have complained about the sound quality but they are using it for music audio and of course it's bad for that!!! I installed this in my vehicle for my Whistler TRX-2 scanner and it's small size and great voice quality sound tuning, fit the bill incredibly well. This is a genuine value deal!

Sounds OK at low level, but at a reasonable level, sound is distorted and not loud enough for even a small bedroom. I bought this hoping to improve the output of the speaker in my ham transceiver. But the sound is the same at very low levels, and distorted at anything higher.Given the good reports of other people about this product, I can only assume I have a bad speaker that was never tested prior to shipping.

I have a roadpro that sounds much better then this one. This one is too tinny and sound is very high in frequency. I might keep it for my scanner but for my ham radio not so good. Get the roadpro. Sounds much more natural and basier.

As stated before, this is a speaker for mobile radios not computers or sound equipment. It is not designed for that and is not a powered unit. Item is of good quality and is paired well for a mobile radio or cb although it is pretty small..Voice audio is clear without distortion and preforms well. So well I ordered 3 more of them for my other smaller radios. Can't beat it for the price.

I bought this to add an external speaker to the ham radio in my Jeep. It was plug and play and the volume level is nice. It has a small size and was easily concealable in my Jeep. Funktioniert als externer Lautsprecher für CB-Funk. Deutlich besserer Klang und auch lauter als der eingebaute (ist aber auch ne President Bill 2, also sehr kompakt mit kleinem internen Lautsprecher). Guter Preis, klare Kaufempfehlung.

Bonjour j'ai acheté cette enceinte et je suis déçu de par la taille qui est vraiment plus petite que sur les photos et de par la puissance du son qui sort de l'enceinte qui est ridicule je l'ai acheté pour brancher sur mon GPS pour avoir plus de son malheureusement l'enceinte fait à moitié moins de son que mon GPS inutile pour moi dégoûté d'avoir acheté ce produit je ne la conseille pas.

Came a day earlier than it was supposed and is a nice little speaker for what i need, my Dell gaming monitor for my PS4 doesn't have speakers and i have my Sky Q mini box also connected to it now and i needed a 3.5mm (only), so i purchased this and its not to loud but i can still hear whats being said thorough the speaker, if you want a loud 3.5mm speaker i suggest you go for one with more watts than this one.

Shipping was PromptGood Quality Sounds good. nice size, doesn't take up much room. cord is nice and long. .I recommend this speaker.
