Excellent compact 2 PC KVM
I bounce between my personal laptop and work laptop, each have their own dock which made this 2 PC KVM an excellent soltuion for my setup. Recently upgraded the monitor which uses DisplayPort, which was the key point getting this KVM. The remote control / switch button is a great feature, since I hid the KVM behind the desk. I did run into an issue with the 3.5mm jack-to-jack cable that goes between the KVM and the control/switch button. Contacted support, which immediately replied with troubleshooting steps. I found my cable was bad, but as I had a space in my cable bin, I was able to resolve the issue. However, upon letting support know of this, they wanted to remediate the issue. Very good support which is hard to come by these days I feel.

Simplified My Multi Computer Work Station
Bought this to simplify switching between my PC tower and my laptops displaylink dock. I used to have to manually change the inputs for the monitors and the used a usb switcher and I would always get stuff out of sync, it was a very 1st world problem to be sure. But now we have a remote to switch the inputs with one click, and because of the remote I was able to hide both the dock and the switch under the desk for a cleaner station.

Good for New versus older laptops
It definitely supported one laptop, but did not support an older laptop. Had to buy another accessory to be able to fully function with what I needed.

Does what I purchased it for
I purchased this so that I could plug my lap top in and be able to use my extra screen to make things "bigger". It has accomplished that purpose. So far so good!
