Redarc is definitely a company that you get what you pay for. After camping for several years running 12 volt fridge, diesel heater, fans, lights and trying to maintain battery capacity was always a science project. solar is useful on a bright unforested area and larger battery's add weight fast. After purchasing the 40A charger installing it per instructions which i found clear and concise I no longer worry about battery charging issues. At 500+ watts it charges 200 AH battery right at .2 c spot for long battery life. After a trail ride or brief site seeing adventure I return to camp 100 % charged. Smartest upgrade so far.

I've installed 20 DC-to-DC converters. This is it. At $475, or whatever, easily $150 more than similar, it is quality. And you can mount it almost anywhere saving valuable protected space. Simple to install, virtually not setup and works as advertised. Smaller than the 50A Kisae and no fan. This is the 40A version but I'm reasonably sure the 50A is equally good.

Easy install and works great for both the solar and alternator charging. Love the product and would recommend to anyone thinking of buying.

Product arrived in perfect condition, Redarc BCDC40A but have not set-up charging system yet, still waiting for other needed parts from other venders. This charger has a excellent reputation so hopefully once set up it will work as it is supposed to. 5 stars for fast shipping and sales of quality products.

Best investment. No more separate isolator, no separate solar controller, just 1 small simply wired charger.
