Dr. Martens Women's Shriver Hi Fashion Boot

I love these boots! They look great and are very comfortable right out of the box. No breaking in necessary. The first time I wore them was to work (I'm on my feet almost all day) and my feet didn't hurt at all. The front of the boot is narrower than classic docs so they have more of a feminine look. They are a very good quality leather and have a nice thick lug sole that gives me a couple of extra inches of height without having to wear heels. My only slight cons are that they are a little heavy and the laces seem too thin to last, but laces can easily be replaced. I am very happy with this purchase.

I have been hemming and hawing about getting a new pair of Docs for years. I have really thick calves, which makes boots difficult to find, and am still nursing an injured knee. Oh my goodness, these boots are the best thing ever! There is ankle and arch support, which makes my feet and knees so happy, and they will lace all the way up! Ok, so they are the short boots, but hey, a win's a win. I have had a pair (well, two, since I wore them to pieces) of Doc Martens shoes in the past, so I knew these would have a bit of weight to them - it's part of the charm and why I love them. They are no heavier than a pair of Skechers platform shoes that I wear all the time. These have sizes comparable to Converse in that they run a tiny bit big, but there is a sizing chart on the Doc Martens website that allows you to compare your foot length to the length of the insole of their footwear. Whereas I wear about a 7.5-8 (US women) in other brands, in Docs and Converse, I wear a 7. The arches are perfectly placed. The platform is tall enough that it felt like putting on rollerskates the first time I stood up, but I have become spoiled by the newfound height. So far I have worn them every day for four days, and they are breaking in nicely and quickly. I did warm them slightly and coat them in liquid mink oil just out of the box, just to waterproof them and help speed the break in period. The only negative thing I have experienced so far is trying to get in and out of vehicles. This is a platform thing, not a boot thing - I keep forgetting that my legs are 2" longer at my feet, and I keep kicking the door frame or hitting the brake pedal harder than I should. I can't wait until it warms up enough that I can take out the motorcycle while wearing these! The added height should help stabilise the bike at a stop (because I can finally flat-foot stand on the bike), and the grippy soles, my nemesis on carpet, should grab the blacktop well (again, at a stop). Now to save my pennies to add a second pair of super amazing boots to my arsenal!

I love these boots. Docs with heels - punk up a girly dress or just wear with the usual jeans or black trousers. Versatile, and perfect for work in a rock and roll venue. Full disclosure - I did go to the local Doc Martens store and pick up their double layer socks to wear while breaking these in, because otherwise could be miserable. I haven't had any trouble with the break in period, and no blisters at all. Happy girl. Got them for a fair price, as long as you take care of them, they'll last for a few years. Great for standing on concrete for hours.

Let me start out by saying I've been a Docs wearer since the mid '90's, and still wear a pair I've had since '96/'97. I really like these boots. This is the third pair of Docs I've ordered on Amazon this month, and the only pair I've kept. I have to start out by saying that this was also the only pair that came in the original Dr. Martens boot box, that is a huge plus for me. These boots are almost perfect, right out of the box, I don't anticipate a whole lot of break-in time, though I'll need to soften the tongue, as its a bit stiff. The foot bed is really comfortable, lots of bounce. The platform sole is really awesome. It gives you a really big lift, without the heel being uncomfortably high. I also like these better than the Jadon's, because they have better flexibility, and don't make you look like Frankenstein stomping around. The shape of the toe box is more feminine than the standard Docs shoebox, as it's a bit less wide across the bridge of the foot. This is an upside to those of us tall girls with woman's size US 11 feet, but a downside to anyone with wider feet. These boots fit true to size, with slight extra wiggle room in the toes, without causing extra slide in the heel, though I do wear my boots laced tight. The boot laces that came with the boots are a joke. They are more like dental floss and very insubstantial, so plan ahead to put new laces on. I used golden yellow paracord, as it matches the stitching and looks striking on these beautiful boots. Plus, paracord just makes the best boot laces.

I usually wear the Doc Martens with the regular sole. I spotted these with the chunky sole and wasn’t sure? I don’t regret this purchase. The thick sole makes this boot feel heavy when you unbox these shoes however it really makes them extra comfy for all day standing. They have not felt heavy to walk in even after all day wear. The leather is a little stiff. I know they will soften up after some wear. The black color is very versatile. The fit is stiff but not uncomfortable. I know these will be my go to work shoes because they are comfy, durable, and have a lot of style. They also make me an inch and 1/2 taller. Love that!

I really love the look of the Dr. Martens Shriver Hi boots—the lifted heel gives them a stylish edge that sets them apart from other Docs I’ve owned. They feel sturdy and well-made, and they go with just about everything. The only reason I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is the stiffness. Even after multiple wears, they’re much stiffer than other pairs of Docs I’ve broken in before. It’s not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to be aware of if you're used to the typical break-in process. Overall, they’re still a great addition to my wardrobe and I’m happy with the purchase!

These were pretty comfortable right out of the box. Feel well made, and while the leather is fairly stiff, that is to be expected and has loosened up as I have worn them. I have worn them for all day events and still been comfortable.

Was expecting these to be big. I'm an 8.5 and the 9 is perfect. Lovely boots and very good price for the 9. I have waited 40 years for another pair of dms so glad I got them

Passen super wie erwartet und sieht auch hochwertig verarbeitet aus. Anfangs sollte man sie mit dickeren Socken einlaufen, damit sie etwas flexibler werden aber danach sind sie echt bequem, auch für längere Tage.
