Replaced my serpentine belt today; first time doing it - had help from a neighbor. We had a little trouble getting the new belt on just because it is pretty tight even with the tensioner all the way over. Here's a tip, make sure the belt is on the fan pulley correctly. We decided to put the belt over the top right (power steering pulley) last, as that was the easiest one to reach, but it didn't want to go on until I noticed that the belt wasn't seated correctly on the engine fan pulley. Once I got that seated, it went over the power steering pulley without too much trouble.

The only one that would fit...
I have a 2003 Ford Ranger with a 2.3L engine with A/C. I word of caution, the after market belts being sold at the auto parts stores is not the right size. I purchased one at O'Reilly's Auto Parts. It was 83 1/3 inches long. It was to short. AutoZone is selling two belts. One is 82 inches and the second is 82.5 inches long. I don't how long this belt is because it doesn't say. I called Ford Parts and they didn't know either. All they could give me was the Ford part number. I can say that this one fit perfectly. So save yourself the headache and the trouble and just buy this one first.
