Gtechniq EXO Crystal, 30ml | Ultra Hydrophobic Coating, Repels Water and Dirt, High Gloss Finish, Long-Lasting Protection

i am not sure why i am writing a review of this product. because it's too soon. anyway, i watched some reviews and bought this item, because the previous coating i bought last year, was poor. anyone buying this type of coating needs to understand what chemical process is happening, otherwise it won't give the results it's supposed to. you must prepare the surface as per instructions ,so that the bonding process works properly. the results should repel water and dirt for about a year. cheaper products may give a few weeks. then the rain and snow comes and the cheaper ones won't protect the car through the harsh months. same with waxes. they are a waste of time. just don't last. i am hoping that this product will last the winter, as reviews have suggested. lets see

The title say's it all. I love this stuff. I applied this to my car after using Gtechniq Panel Wipe to clear any remaining previous waxes. Using Panel Wipe also helps the EXO v2 bond to the car paintwork better. The entire application took me approximately 1 hour but I did take my time. It's straight forward to apply - pop the supplied nitrile gloves on then just use the supplied applicator pad with a few drops of EXO on it to cover a panel at a time, then use one microfiber cloth to spread the EXO evenly and to remove the excess, then a second microfiber cloth to buff to a shiny smooth finish. The hydrophobic effect is stunning on my white car. Gtechniq claim EXO v2 will last for at least a year which will save me waxing every few months. Very highly recommended if you're serious about looking after your car. People have already asked what I've used after seeing the car in the rain.

Bought this to coat a new set of wheels before fitting tyres and going on the car. Application was super easy as the wheels had never been outside since refurbishing, so no worries about thorough cleaning beforehand. Couple of months on and cleaning is an absolute breeze. Brake dust comes straight off with normal cleaning products and a pressure washer, no need for anything aggressive. Can’t compare to other products but I’m more than happy with this at the moment. The unknown is how long the coating will last.

If you apply it correctly it’s a great product. Leaves a great shine on new paint.

Used it twice previously - great stuff with fantastic water beading but do just one panel at a time as its a nightmare to remove if you leave it to dry.

Pleased with the product as usual

Very easy to apply. Apply to a good sized area, went round to the opposite side of the car, applied to a second area, then returned to the first area to buff it off, continued until complete. Rain water really beads up & you can see the water rolling off the bonnet while you drive. I’ll be ordering some more to protect our Macan when it arrives in a couple of weeks time.

Over rated, overpriced garbage, 100% does not work on alloys, it washes off

Product works great and was plenty to do my Tacoma. Easy on and easy to buff to perfect shine. Worth the price as I have research many DYI ceramic coatings and this always had great reviews

Apply nice and smooth

This product is absolutely awesome. Lasts for months throughout salt and car washes. easy to apply. Worth every penny!!!

Purchased the techniq CSL(the non professional ceramic with shorter life span of 5 rather than 10 years. I applied 1 coat csl and 2 coats of EXOv5, and I actually applied 3 coats to my hood. Apply ceramic as directed, wait 2hrs at least then you can apply EXOv5, wait for it to flash, buffing and polish and then you can put a 2d coat right on top of that without wanting. My car looks great, the first car wash or rain will be the test. Amazingly easy to use but it would suggest buying extra applicator pads if they sell them. Buy the bug bottle so you can put two coats on it. I have a 17 subaru legacy and I coated everything twice and my hood 3x but I did not do my front end as I'd like to repaint it with all the rock chips but I have more than enough to do it twice. Great DIY job and I saved myself at least $1000+ by using this. You can also add coats later to add more protection to CSL coat without too much trouble

Product was easy to work with. So far, I'm very pleased. Time will tell how well it provides the protection / sustains overtime.
