Great product as advertised

I have an outdoor accent light that my late Mom had in her yard decades ago. It is a sentimental piece for me, and I was very sad when it quit working. My handy husband took it apart, found a shorted and corroded bulb and socket and had me order this set of new ones. He wired in one of the new sockets, cleaned up the light base, re-assembled it and now it works like new! He said the only complaint was the metal receptacles (where the bulb pins plug into) were very tight. He had to use a sharp pointed awl to stretch the openings a little bit before the bulb could be plugged into the socket without fear of snapping off the pins. Overall, a very inexpensive option to restore light fixtures that would otherwise get tossed in the trash.

The ceramic body fit my fixture perfectly, and was readily secured by the original screws. If your fixture feeds its socket wires from the back, these should be ideal. However, my fixture fed the socket wires from the side, so I had to remove the included wires, clip off most of the remaining terminals, solder wires to the stubs, and route the wires around to the side. A lot of work, and not well-insulated once done, but it succeeded in getting power to the lamp.

These appear to be quite good quality. The spring mechanism is good and you can adjust it if it becomes loose. The cable length is long enough that you can keep the wire nuts out of the way. Would prefer it to have a heat deflector, but failing that use ceramic nuts to make sure your connections are not compromised over time by heat.

After being frustrated to no end with the flush mount fixtures I had installed in the ceiling of my man-cave. I decided before I ripped them out and started over I would do a quick search for any alternative. that would allow me to keep them. I found these things not expecting much, considering the crazy low price. turns out they are exactly what was needed. super easy to install and they worked perfectly. Very simple yet clever design, they really hold on to the bulb. I consider this to be one of the best purchases I have ever made period. Do not hesitate to buy these things you will be impressed.

I used this to replace a bulb inside a landscape fixture. I matched it with the following bulb and it worked great. Ordered these to do repair work on landscape lighting, even though it says indoor use only they work well. Only issue was package contained nine pieces when was supposed to be 10. I contacted the manufacturer but not worth the hassle to get one item. Hope they don’t do everyone that way.
