Review: for anyone who is thinking of designing there own Lego house - You must have this book, it is page after page of exceptionally well presented ideas for every part of architecture and design, even friends who have no interest in Lego design, yes there are some, still look at the book in amazement. simple and clever ideas on how to tackle, columns, windows, turrets, roof's and so on, hours of experience and work has gone into this book. I only wish there were more images of finished designs showing the ideas in practice instead of just the chapter start.

useful for Lego construction fans
Very comprehensive and detailed, this is a technical book, not one for those who want to see pretty pictures of actual, i.e. mounted, Lego construction ideas (these can be found in the other book in that collection, "the lego architect", which I recommend as a pair with this). It gives ideas and lists all that you need to make specific parts of constructions (i.e. windows, doors, roofs, domes, porticoes etc.) in various styles, and it is true to its title, as a tool with ideas for building, and most useful as a reference book to those who want to engage in bespoke Lego construction projects.

Kept my 11 year old grandson quiet and entertained for hours. If you buy the set I would recommend you give them one at a time.

Any lego fanatics would love this its very informative has a very easy-to-read layout. Brilliant for extending your knowledge on the multiple ways you can build with lego!
