CanDo 10-3199 Vinyl-Coated Kettlebell, 5-piece Set

I've been using them almost everyday. Great purchase.

For some reason, the manufacturer decided to paint (black) the handles for the 5lb, 7.5lb, and 15lb weights, with only the 10 and 20lb weights having the bare metal surface (or maybe it's a powder coating... not sure which). (The only thing I can think of is that the weights, which arrived in separate boxes, came from two different facilities, with the 5/7.5/15lb weights coming from a factory that was using paint for some reason.) Based on a question answered in the Q&A section above, I was expecting all the handles to be the same (ie: not painted). What's wrong with painted handles, you ask? Well, *maybe* nothing. But given that the product is made in China, I prefer to not have to touch paint that might have god knows what kind of toxic stuff in it every time I decide to exercise!Aside from the disappointing handles, the weights seem fine. The colored vinyl coatings on the bottoms had a bit of a chemical smell when they arrived, but I washed them with dish soap and water and the smell has dissipated.I'm not sure if I will ultimately keep or return the kettlebells. I can probably get by with only using the 10lb and 20lb weights, but it's a bummer to have paid so much and them not be what I was expecting.I recommend that shoppers pay attention to the handles for their kettlebells, if that is something that matters to them. Look for descriptive text and/or photos that suggest the handles are painted (versus raw metal or powder coating), and purchase accordingly. Also, try to stick with purchases that are return-eligible in case you don't like them.I've attached a photo of the 7.5lb (left) and 10lb (right) weights. You can clearly see that the 7.5lb kettlebell's handle is painted black, while the 10lb kettlebell has a distinctly different handle (which, again, is either raw metal or powder coated... either way, superior IMO!).

Very odd - ordered the set of 5 but only these three came in. And they aren’t returning my emails? Not sure what the issue was. I like these three, but for the price, you should be getting what you pay for.Update: got a hold of the company, and they sent out the additional missing kettlebells. Thank you!

What I received of this set is wonderful, however both shipments that were sent to me did not include the green 10lb weight. I ended up purchasing the 10lb weights in a hammered metal look from a different brand due to the cost of purchasing this brand separately and not at the bundled group price. Thus I would recommend the product but I would caution buyers on possible incomplete shipments.

I would say that packaging could have been better done. I feel bad for UPS having to deal with the boxes falling apart. They are a great addition to my home gym.

I did not get all my kettlebells missing twenty pound one so you don’t get what is pictured.

Awesome set. They are not too bulky and I can get a good grip on them. They fit nicely in the corner of my bedroom without being a complete eyesore. Granted I won't be on HGTV with this set-up anytime soon but they are also small enough to slide under my bed if I have the energy to do so after my fantastic work-out routine.
