4-Step Pontoon Boat Ladder, 316 Stainless Steel Folding Telescoping Inboard Ladder with Hand Railing and Extra Wide Steps

This ladder comes nearly fully assembled, just two bolts to fasten. I used stainless steel through-bolts without backing plates, but pretty large stainless washers instead. It's now been 7 months of heavy use in salt water. Must be high quality stainless, since there's very little corrosion, and everything is as solid as day 1. Sorry that I didn't clean up before the photo, but you can see where the original ladder was mounted. It was a two step flip down ladder with teak steps. Looked great but was unusable for climbing out of the water because it didn't extend down far enough, and there was nothing to grab onto as well. Also it was a tripping hazard in the way that it laid down on the swim platform.

My wife is older and had issues getting in and out of the water on our 41 ft Hatteras swim platform. This one is heavy duty, beautiful and easy to assemble and install. She can get in and out easily now. The ladder is longer than normal boat ladders, but it collapses into a short ladder to store out of the water. Perfect. No complaints from us.

I can not say anything bad about this boat ladder. We swim off our pontoon boat, and need the ladder to get back on the boat. Works incredible. Steps are a decent width. Handles make it easy to pull yourself onto the boat. Best part, very easy to install.

The manufacturer should USE A [TIGHT] JIG during the manufacturing process. Once I finally completed the installation, it's awesome but it was very frustrating to have to enlarge some of the hinge's holes as they would not allow both sides of the ladder to fully seat (make contact) when in the open/extended position. With only one side seated, too much pressure would certainly have caused structural failure to either the ladder OR MY BOAT'S TRANSOME. I enlarged 2 holes slightly with a specialized drill bit (an expensive purchase) to allow both hinges to seat properly at the same angle of ladder deployment. After re-installing the ladder, it is AWESOME! It allows my older, heavier, & weaker body to climb up with ease. PLUS, it gives my 30-year old 17' Larson boat a modern look amongst all of the new, shiny boats on the water! NOTE: To facilitate the retraction of the ladder from topside, I simply tied one end of rope to the bottom rung and the other end topside. I just pull the rope which brings the ladder up. ALSO, for added security during trailering, I keep a bungee cord around the ladder should the factory plastic ladder retention clip fail going over a bump.

Exactly the right thing for getting in the pool and getting out of the way until we're ready to get out. I have a salt water pool and it's doing great, no rusting.

After reading some of the reviews regarding misalignment issues I was a little nervous to order this ladder, however I had so such issues. This ladder fit perfect on my dock after I cut the padded trim to make space for it. It took maybe 15 minutes to install by myself from opening of the box to finished installation. When I opened the package my initial thoughts were that the screws to secure the ladder to the dock might be a little small but the ladder feels real secure with no movement. I will update the review once I actually use the ladder and/or if I have any issues with it. So far I love this product and wish I had ordered it sooner.

This product is a well thought out design that is sturdy enough to handle an adult yet folds up neatly onto the dock. This is the second one we bought, and I would buy a third if I had a third floating home.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This product is made exactly as described! Great quality. Word of advice... Install as indicated with the right and left handles. It won't install properly if you switch sides. My Bad! Love it!!!!

I was more than pleased with this ladder. It looks very impressive on our boat! It is sturdy and strong. Easy to install. I would definitely recommend it to others.

This is the second time a reviewed this product/supplier. The first review was very negative. I did not receive all the parts and had trouble connecting with Leonsel. After some help from Amazon, Leonsel has been very helpful--although it has taken many weeks to resolve the matter. It's too bad. The product was very good, just incomplete and apparently no longer available.
