A Tiger in Texas
I really enjoyed the latest installment in the Cut & Run series. In this latest book we have another intrepid mystery, coupled with the continued love story of our two main characters, FBI Special Agents Grady and Garrett. This time besides the mystery, we get to meet Zane's rich family on the mega ranch in Texas - we see who he takes after - his father and sister and the bad apple in the family - his mother. There is drugs, a cartel and even a Bengal Tiger for Ty to befriend. The one part of the story I found odd was that Zane told his sister and father he was gay, while eating in the dining room. The narration then said that everyone would now know they were gay with no mention of how that happened. The next night they went to the bar and got harassed for being gay. There was a definite disconnect there.Despite that, continued to love the characters and story line.

Absolument parfait!

A rating....
My Review:If there was a single series that I could have to read for the rest of my life and I could only read that single set of books, this would be the series that I would choose. I LOVE this series! Best characters EVER created...hands down....Ty and Zane. Honestly, I just love them together. In this book...sigh....everything is just so good between them. They are in such a good place between the two of them and I love that they are finally, FINALLY there. This book deals entirely with their families though....neither of which have any idea that their sons are gay. This is the book where all that hits the fan for both of them. But it's so good. It doesn't go smoothly, but that never ruffles their relationship and I loved that Abigail Roux didn't go there where it would have been easier. I like that she kept their relationship so strong.Zane is from Texas and the majority of the book is spent down in Hill Country on his ranch. This is almost like home for me so I loved that aspect of the book. But there is just so much more to love...*The tiger story....OMG, only Ty....poor Ty. I love how these animals are just drawn to him.*Ty's obsessions with Stetsons...this was awesome about how worked up both he and Zane got by their cowboy looks...some seriously hot, steamy scenes because of this.*Ty's problem with horses...too funny esp when his horse started following him around*LOVED Ty with Sadie...OMG, melt my heart over his interactions with that sweet little 3 yo.*EVERYTHING else...seriously I just love these books. The humor, their easy relationship, their oh-so-smexy relationship. I love these guys and how they are just slightly irreverent and crazy. I am constantly laughing out loud when I read one of these books and this one was no exception. It was good and so entertaining. Just another GREAT installment to this AMAZING series.

...what am I going to do NOW??!!
When you try to stop yourself from finishing a book because you know there's not a sequel out yet, and still you finish it in a day, reading it during classes because you just can't help yourself...than you know you're reading a fu****g SPECTACULAR book.Just a problem, though. It was the last freaking book! I feel orphan now.I'm not saying the series doesn't have flaws, but rarely I've been so in love with the characters that I didn't give a damn about them. This is a characters-driven story and it's fantastic. Some people complained about how sweet the relationship between our 2 men has become, because they find it out of character. I disagree. The boys met 2 years ago, and people change as time goes by, especially if they experience big changes in their life. I think it would be strange if after they told each other they're in love, they don't grow closer and more comfortable in their new shared life. God, I love this couple *sigh*...Well,I guess I gotta get back to my life now XD I literally spent the last 10 days in Ty and Zane's world! I read the first book ten days ago, and finished it today. It was one hell of a ride!I hadn't been so excited for a sequel since Harry Potter...the 7th book can't come soon enough!!

Best M/M series to date
I have to admit that I had become a little jaded with the typical angst-ridden gay romance that has so recently flooded the world of digital print books, though I will always give thanks for the rise of digital printing that has allowed these gems of a once shadowed niche market to come alive. However amid the typoed plots and shallow characters there sprung the story of Ty and Zane. I am glad a mere whim made me buy that first book, 'cut & run', for I would never have discovered such a wonderful pair of men as those two. The plot lines are superb, their interactions written so beautifully and more importantly, are entirely believable. No longer must one wallow in the over-written angst-filled 2D world that has categorized a majority of gay romance novels. For years I longed for a book written in the fashion of any good main-stream fantasy, crime drama or romance. The interesting plots, the depth of characters, exceptional and detailed worlds be it fantasy or the here-and-now of every day... such things as the readers of heterosexual books take for granted but which those fans of the gay variety were so very starved for.A book that just happened to have two men as the main romantic element. Was that really so much to ask for? Finally we have a series, not just one book but a whole series, that fills that void of good plot and believable characters. Cut & Run went from a curiosity to one of my most favored reads, alongside that of Goodkind, Anne Rice, Simon Scarrow and Martina Cole. Please Miss Roux, can we have more?
