Q: can I buy extra plug-in ringers? if not can i use ringers from a different set?

We are very sorry the INTENDVISION WIRELESS DOORBELL just sold by set. If you need extra plug receiver, you can buy two set, it means you have two Push Button Transmitter and 4 Plugin Receivers. The push button transmitter and the receiver can be matched to each other easily. Just follow this three step: 1.Plug in the receiver, hold down the volume button (the lower button on the right side of the receiver) for 5 seconds, then the led flash will start blinking. 2.Once it stops blinking and maintains stable light, press the push button transmitter to pair with the receiver until you hear the chimes. Then they're paired. 3.When the pairing is complete, release the volume button. Meaning that you can match the two set wireless doorbell perfectly. After matching, a push button can control 4 receivers, so you can mount a push button for both the front and back doors, and then plug the four receivers in different places in your house so that you don't miss any guest.

No, you don't need to connect with the WIFI. The Push Button Transmitter and 2 Plugin Receivers have been connected by our manufacturer.
