Many people remove the food from the skewer before eating, and our baskets help people skip that step and they take less time to prep which is a benefit for many people. To answer your question, please note, the basket is designed to be placed on the grill. The idea is to place the baskets on the grill so the wooden ends are hanging outside the grill away from the heat to avoid burning the wood.
