Can this rubber mat be cut into tiles to be used as garden steppers?

The Heavy Duty mat can serve as a garden stepper; however, please note that it is quite thick (3/4"), so that would lead to. 3/4" thickness from the mat's top to the ground. We also have our Elephant bark mats that can be thinner (1/4") and still provide protection, anti-slip, as well as UV resistance.

Will this absorb water or milk?

Heavy Duty Appliance mats will absorb liquids over time but only in applications where they are continuously in contact with liquids, such as being submerged.

Would this mat effectively reduce the vibration of somebody stomping on the bass drum pedal of an electric drum set? downstairs neighbor is perturbed.

Not sure, but may be worth a shot. Very heavy and thick rubber mats, which are great for absorbing washing machine vibration.

Does this mat have any unpleasant smells?

Good appliance mat..

These do a very good job of isolating the washer and dryer vibrations from the rest of the house. They are very heavy, 100 lbs!!. They were a b...h to cut to size, finally had to use a handsaw. They are made of recycled rubber.

Seems like it will really do the job.

We recently moved our washer and dryer upstairs and put them in a room with newly refinished hardwood floors. Obviously we were concerned about protecting the floors, and also about reducing noise. After having only done a couple loads of laundary, we are thus far very pleased.

We bought this mat and cut it to fit under both our washer and dryer and it has really helped cut down the vibration.
