I use mine at the stove to pepper my eggs in the morning. It holds quite a bit of pepper and does a good job propagating it over the eggs.

I really like these shakers. the only thing is that the first washing gives off a black residue that has to be wiped over and over. I assume it is stainless steel particles. I have noticed this in new stainless products from other sources and imported from different countries, such as china and India. After careful cleaning the first time, this problem is resolved.

I love these shakers. I use them as salt and pepper shakers. The holes are larger and more of them. I use magic marker to identify each one. I can remove anytime I want with a wipe of alcohol and it doesn't hurt the material it's made of. Will buy another when I need them.

These are gonna be a Christmas gift for my mother to have on back of her cook stove. The only problem with these is dont put the lids on real tight. Because the salt will sweat and rust where you screw on the top at. Her salt shaker is like that now. Thats why Im buying her a new set

I purchased these shakers for a seasoned salt I purchased at a culinary festival. Since the mixture contains spices in addition to salt I needed a shaker with holes large enough to pass the mixture evenly. For my purpose the hole size is just perfect. For finely ground pepper the holes might be too big. I didn't want handles. The lids go on and off easily. They are reasonably sturdy and should last for years.
